Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:1001823/C2/1> in which R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or alkyl (1-4 C), and either R4 and R5 are alkyl (1-4 C) or NR4R5 is morpholino or piperidino, with the proviso that when two of R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen, R4 together with the remaining substituent of R1, R2 and R3 may represent an alkylene (2-4 C) radical; and their preparation by reacting homothiaxanthone with a compound Hal.Mg.CHR1.CHR2.CHR3.NR4R5, where Hal is chlorine, bromine or iodine, and hydrolysing the resulting magnesium complex. Isomers of a product are separated. Specifications 1,001,824 and 1,001,825 also are referred to.
