Abstract

[Also in Division F2] The ball ends B of a circular array of piston rods actuating a swash plate 5 are held in recesses in the swash plate by a single bronze or steel plate 1 attached to the plate 5, the plate 1 having a number of struck-up flanges 2 corresponding to the number of pistons, each flange having a stamped spherical surface. In a modification the flanges 2 extend away from, other than towards, the plate 5. The plate 1 may be of bronze or steel and may be hardened by nitriding.
