Draw hooks 5 are connected to baulk levers 1 by means of bearing plates 3 which are pivoted to the levers 1 at 2 and have bearing surfaces 6 which abut stops 20. Various embodiments (Fig. 3 to 10, not shown) are described. The pivot 2 may be self lubricating and the surface 6 may have antifriction bearings.
