Abstract

Articles such as bearings and structural parts are made by compacting and sintering a mixture of elemental powders in the following proportions by weight: .Sn.1 -15% .Carbonyl Ni.1 -15% .Graphite.0.25- 4% .Cu.balance Up to 5% of the Cu may be replaced by one or more of the following: Al (1%), Cr (1%), Co (1%), Pb (1%), Mn (1%), Mo (1%), P (1%), Si (3%), Zn (3%). The powder mixture is compacted at 18 t.s.i., sintered at 875 DEG C. and finally coined.
