Abstract

[Also in Division G2] Sheet material is guided by a curved guideway 1 into a bath of liquid (e.g. photographic developing solution) and then out again, to pass between a pair of squeeze rollers 2, and then between resilient drying rollers 5, at least one of which is internally heated. The heater roller may have a core 6 of a plastics material, having a helical surface groove in which lies an electrical heating element, which is then covered by a rubber sleeve 7. Current is supplied through slip-rings on the rollers by spring-loaded brushes 8. Specification 791,563 is referred to.
