Abstract

A strut (17), provided between a base (11) and a platform (16), retains the base and platform in an open configuration. The leg (18) of the strut is pivotally connected to the platform. The foot portion (19) of the strut is held in place by a frictional force between the strut and base. An independent claim is also included for a concrete foundation raft or low level beam forming method.
