Abstract

Procédé et installation de liquéfaction de l’hydrogène Procédé de liquéfaction de l’hydrogène, comprenant au moins une étape de pré-refroidissement, dans laquelle un débit d’alimentation en hydrogène est refroidi par un premier réfrigérant, une étape de refroidissement, dans laquelle le débit d’alimentation en hydrogène est refroidi par un deuxième réfrigérant, et une étape de détente du débit d’alimentation en hydrogène. Chacun des premier et deuxième réfrigérants est successivement soumis à au moins une compression et à au moins une détente afin de le refroidir, et une phase liquide du premier réfrigérant refroidit le deuxième réfrigérant pour que le deuxième réfrigérant ne dépasse pas une température de 150 K, de préférence 113 K, lors de ladite compression du deuxième réfrigérant. Une installation pour la mise en œuvre de ce procédé comprend un premier circuit de réfrigérant (R1) contenant un premier réfrigérant et un deuxième circuit de réfrigérant (R2) contenant un deuxième réfrigérant et comprenant un ou plusieurs compresseurs (C21, C22, C23) et un dispositif de refroidissement disposés ensemble, et un ou plusieurs détendeurs (JT2, E21, E22, E23). Le dispositif de refroidissement est configuré pour refroidir le deuxième réfrigérant dans le deuxième circuit de réfrigérant (R2) avec une phase liquide du premier réfrigérant dans le premier circuit de réfrigérant (R1) Figure pour l’abrégé : Fig. 1.
