Abstract

Device for simultaneously dispensing two perfumes with a main axis (A), the device comprising two glass bottles (1,2), identical but offset by 180 degrees around the main axis (A), each with a back so that the first and second bottles are assembled back-to-back, each bottle comprising a neck (11,21) and a pump (81,82) with an activation pusher (91,92), each pump having a clipping skirt , an assembly hoop (3) comprising a first sleeve (31) configured to surround the first neck and lock the first clipping skirt therein and a second sleeve (32), an operating member (4) for actuating the pushers of activation (91,92) each pusher comprising a dispensing nozzle, the two nozzles having separate outlets, and in which there is provided a bonding (7) of the bottles.

Description

Device for dispensing two flavors simultaneously

Technical area and context

The present invention relates to devices for simultaneously dispensing two perfumes or more generally two liquid products. More specifically, this type of device comprises two separate bottles, each containing a product, two pumps and two dispensing nozzles. In addition, for perfumes, it is customary to use glass bottles.

Prior art

Document EP1433533A1 describes an example of a device for simultaneously dispensing two liquid products. The bottles are made of plastic and the solution presented is not adaptable to glass bottles.

The document FR2952913 describes another example of a device for simultaneously dispensing two liquid products; in this example, it is sought to compensate for manufacturing dispersions in center distance and in height. The proposed solution is very complex and its aesthetic presentation leaves something to be desired and would not be acceptable for a perfumery product.

There therefore remains a need to propose a simple and reliable solution for forming a device configured to simultaneously dispense two perfumes contained in glass bottles.

To this end, according to the present disclosure, a device is proposed for simultaneously dispensing two perfumes, the device extending along a main axis A, with a reference plane P parallel to the main axis A, the main axis A being substantially vertical when the device rests on a horizontal plane, the device comprising:

- a first vial and a second vial, both made of glass, the first vial being identical to the second vial, the relative positions of the first and second vials being offset by 180 degrees around the main axis A, each of the first and second bottles having a generally planar portion called back so that the first and second bottles are assembled back-to-back, at the location of the reference plane,

the first bottle comprising a first neck equipped with a first pump with a first activation button, the second bottle comprising a second neck equipped with a second pump with a second activation button,

each pump having respectively a clipping skirt intended to surround a flange of the neck,

- an assembly hoop comprising a first sleeve configured to surround the first neck and lock the first clipping skirt therein and a second sleeve configured to surround the second neck and lock the second clipping skirt therein, the assembly hoop allowing to maintain a predetermined distance between the respective axes Z1, Z2 of the pumps, and therefore the center distance between the necks,

- an operating device to actuate the two activation push-buttons together on external downward pressure,

each pusher comprising a dispensing nozzle, the two nozzles having separate outlets, each with an axis W1, W2 perpendicular to A,

and in which there is provided a bonding of the first and second bottles at least in their lower parts in a back-to-back configuration.

By means of which, a good cohesion of the assembly of the two glass bottles and the locking of the pumps are ensured. Also, a pleasant general shape is obtained with no marked discontinuity between the two glass bottles. Nevertheless, the assembly remains very simple.

The fact of using two identical bottles (one of which is upside down) makes it possible to overcome any manufacturing dispersions resulting from the pressing/blowing of the glass. Indeed, in practice, the two bottles will come from the same series. Advantageously, a single mold is used to form the bottles.

By arranging and displaying separate outputs with the two nozzles, we highlight the dispensation in stereo of the two flavors which will reveal and/or highlight the stereosmy of a user. The dispensing directions W1, W2 may be parallel, or else slightly convergent or else slightly divergent.

According to one aspect, the device may further comprise a trim ring (5) comprising a receiving surface to receive a closure cap (6). In return for this, the covering ring and the closing cap make it possible to confer a harmonious shape on the assembly, the closing cap being in the continuity of the assembly of the two bottles equipped with the assembly ring.

According to one aspect, the capacity of each bottle is between 40 ml and 50 ml so that the total capacity of the device is between 80 ml and 100 ml. In return for this, this device can be carried in hand luggage during air travel and falls below the 100 ml mark required to successfully pass airport security checks.

According to one aspect, the assembly hoop comprises a peripheral skirt which docks with the outer wall of the bottles. This docking can be done from the outside or flush from above.

By means of which, a continuity can be established between the bi-bottle assembly, formed by the two bottles, and the other elements located above.

The hoop material can be metal or plastic.

According to one option, the bi-flask assembly, formed by the first and second vials, has a cross section whose dimension decreases when moving from the base to the top. There is thus good stability when the device is placed on a flat horizontal surface. A truncated ogival shape is also very rewarding from an aesthetic point of view.

According to one example, the cross section is generally circular, each of the bottles then having a semi-circular cross section. The general section can also be oval, hexagonal, rounded rectangle, or other...

According to one option, when D1 is the diameter of the base and D2 is the diameter of the upper part of the bi-vial assembly, it is possible to advantageously have D2 comprised between 50% and 70% of D1.

According to one option, a recessed central zone can be provided 72 in the back of each bottle, so that the glue can be deposited in a bead on an edge zone of the recessed central zone. This makes the contact between the two bottles more reliable, as well as the bonding process. Shrinkage can be small, e.g. 1 mm or 0.5 mm.

According to one aspect, each pusher is embedded on a hollow rod of the pump, and the operating member comprises two orifices configured to be, when the operating member is mounted on the pushers, to be opposite the outlet of each dispensing nozzle. By means of which, we only see the orifices, seen from the outside, the whole mechanism is hidden in the operating device.

According to one option, each sleeve surrounds the clipping skirt over an angular range θ1 of between 300° and 330°. By means of which, when the assembly hoop is inserted on the clipping skirts of the pumps, the sleeve has sufficient elasticity to deviate a little and the inner annular bead of the sleeve passes below the flange.

According to one option, the overall diameter D1 is between 60 and 70 mm. And the Height H1 of the bi-bottle assembly is between 75 and 85 mm. There is thus a compact device of usual size for a perfumery product.

According to one option, the capacity of each bottle is between 25 ml and 75 ml, preferably between 40 ml and 50 ml. These volumes make it possible to cover several typical volumes in the world of perfumery, from 50 ml to 150 ml, passing through 75 ml, 100 ml and 125 ml.

According to one option, a center distance L5 is provided between the axes of the two pumps of between 15 mm and 17 mm.

According to one option, the outer diameter D8 of the clipping skirt of each pump between 14 mm to 14.5 mm, D3 = 13.2 mm to 13.5 mm.

According to one option, the interval separating the two clipping skirts e8 is between 2mm and 3mm.

According to one option, the center distance L5 = D8 + e8 is such that L5 / D8 is between 1.01 and 1.04. Optimum compactness is thus obtained for a given pump diameter and a given overall diameter .

Detailed description of embodiments

In the various figures, the same references designate identical or similar elements. For reasons of clarity of the presentation, certain elements are not necessarily represented to scale.

There is illustrated in the figures a device for simultaneously dispensing two perfumes. This device comprises two separate bottles. The two separate bottles are assembled in a two-bottle assembly by means which will be seen later.

Each bottle is made of glass, by a process known per se and therefore not described here. For example, a pressing/blowing/stretching process can be used

The first vial is marked 1 and the second vial is marked 2 . The first bottle 1 is identical to the second bottle 2 . According to a particular characteristic, the first bottle 1 and the second bottle 2 come from the same forming mold.

Each bottle is a reservoir intended to contain a perfume. According to a particular characteristic, a first perfume is provided in the first bottle 1 and a second perfume in the second bottle 2. These two perfumes are intended to produce, when dispensed simultaneously, a stereo-olfaction or stereosmy effect, seen from a user's point of view.

The device extends along a main axis noted A , with a reference plane P parallel to the main axis A. The main axis A is substantially vertical when the device rests on a horizontal plane. Each bottle has a generally planar portion called the back 17 ; the opposite portion, intended to remain free, is curved or convex, it forms half of the outer surface 18 of the bi-bottle assembly. Each bottle has a generally flat bottom 19 , optionally with a slightly recessed area in the middle of the bottom 19. Each bottle has walls with a thickness of between 1 mm and 2 mm, without excluding thicker areas.

As will be seen later, the reference plane P corresponds to the back-to-back assembly plane of the two bottles. The relative positions of the second bottle 2 with respect to the first bottle 1 is offset by 180 degrees around the main axis A.

In other words, starting with two identical bottles placed in an identical position side-by-side, one of the bottles was rotated half a turn relative to the vertical then the two bottles were assembled back to back.

The first bottle1includes a first pass11equipped with a first pump81with a first activation button91.The first pass11is generally of revolution around an axisZ1. Once inserted into the cervix, the first pump81is generally of revolution around the axisZ1, as seen in .

The second bottle 2 comprises a second neck 21 equipped with a second pump 82 with a second activation pusher 92. The second neck 21 is generally of revolution around an axis Z2. Once inserted into the cervix, the second pump 82 is generally of revolution around the axis Z2, as seen in .

The two pumps are identical, they are known in the art and not described in detail here. Among other things, there is provided a hollow rod 86 for exiting the product upwards and a clipping skirt 85 .

Each bottle comprises at the upper end of its neck a flange 15 . The outer diameter of this flange 15 is denoted D3 . Each bottle has a height H1 of each bottle between the bottom 19 and the upper edge of the collar 15 . In the example illustrated, H1 is between 70 and 90 mm, preferably between 75 and 85 mm.

The clipping skirt 85 of each pump is intended to surround a flange 15 of the neck. Each pump comprises a cylindrical body. From the top of this body, the clipping skirt 85 comprises a transverse portion perpendicular to the axis Z1 and is extended by a cylindrical portion in the form of a thin skirt which descends downwards and whose outer diameter is denoted D8 .

Each pump is equipped with a dip tube 87 which descends to the bottom of the interior space of the bottle.

In the back 17 of each bottle, there is provided an edge 170 which will coincide with the assembly plane P , and a recessed central zone 72 , recessed by 1 mm or 0.5 mm. Edge 170 is preferably continuous so that the recessed central areas will not be visible once the two bottles are assembled.

Before assembling the two bottles, glue 7 is placed on all or part of the edge 170 . We choose a glue compatible with the bonding of the glass. There is a bead of glue on the edge 170. As a mechanical assembly is provided in the upper part, the presence of the bead of glue can be limited to the lower portion of the edge.

Given the position of the glue 7 , it cannot migrate and interact with the perfumes present in the bottles.

Advantageously, an assembly hoop 3 is provided to produce a mechanical assembly in the upper part of the bottles.

The assembly hoop 3 comprises a first sleeve 31 and a second sleeve 32. The first sleeve 31 is configured to surround the first neck and lock the first clipping skirt 85 therein, as this is illustrated in particular in . Similarly, the second sleeve 32 is configured to surround the second neck, and lock the second clipping skirt 85 there.

Assembly hoop 3 includes a plateau zone 30 . This plate zone is presented as a veil with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm, the peripheral zone of this plate has a diameter close to D2 . From the outer edge of the plateau zone, the assembly hoop 3 is extended downwards by a peripheral skirt 38 . This peripheral skirt 38 docks with the outer wall 18 of the bottles from the outside or flush from above.

We notice on the , that the first sleeve does not surround the first neck and the first 360° clipping skirt. A slot is provided on the side where the two sleeves face each other. In the example shown, each sleeve 31, 32 surrounds the clipping skirt over an angular range θ1 of between 300° and 330°. By means of which, when the assembly hoop 3 is inserted on the clipping skirts 85 of the pumps, the sleeve has sufficient elasticity to deviate a little and the inner annular bead 36 of the sleeve passes below the collar 15 , as shown in .

The assembly hoop 3 makes it possible to maintain a predetermined distance L5 between the respective axes Z1 , Z2 of the pumps, and therefore the distance between centers of the necks.

The spacing L5 = D8 + e8 is such that L5/D8 is between 1.01 and 1.04.

As shown in , the position of the neck axis is defined by the noted distance, knowing that L4 = (D8+e8) / 2, as also visible at the .

Furthermore, there is provided an operating member 4 to actuate together the two activation push-buttons 91 , 92 on downward external stress. In this instance, it is a user's finger that pushes the operating member 4 down. The operating member 4 comprises a plate 43 from which a vertical skirt 42 extends towards the case. The maneuvering member 4 has just mounted by force insertion on the two activation push-buttons 91 , 92.

Each pusher comprising a dispensing nozzle, the two nozzles having separate outlets. The first dispensing nozzle 58 projects liquid along a first dispensing axis W1 . The second dispensing nozzle 59 projects liquid along a second dispensing axis W2 . The two dispensing axes W1 , W2 are perpendicular to the main axis A. The two dispensing axes W1 , W2 can be slightly convergent, for example with a relative angle of 5 to 10 degrees. Alternatively, the two dispensing axes W1 , W2 may be slightly divergent, for example with a relative angle of 5 to 10 degrees.

The operating member 4 comprises in its vertical skirt42a first hole56, which is found, once the maneuvering member 4 is mounted on the activation buttons91,92opposite the exit of the first dispensing nozzle58.What's moreIoperating device 4 a second hole57, which is found, once the operating device4mounted on the activation buttons91,92opposite the exit of the second dispensing nozzle59.

Support ribs can be provided46arranged under the top43, these support ribs46provide well-focused support on the activation buttons91,92.Ribs for tight mounting of the operating device can be provided4on the activation buttons. The maneuvering organ4may also be referred to as over-push.

In addition, the device further comprises a trim ring 5 which covers the assembly hoop 3 , and a closure cap 6 which will be described later.

As illustrated in , the cover ring 5 comprises a junction skirt 55, a shoulder 53, a central orifice 54 provided to receive the operating member 4 by vertical sliding. The junction skirt 55 covers a peripheral skirt 38 of the hoop 3. The covering ring 5 comprises a reception surface 52 to receive the closure cap 6. The reception surface 52 can be a thread, bayonet shapes, a clipping bead.

The shoulder53makes it possible to receive the free end of the closing cap6

Regarding the closure cap 6 , it has the function of prohibiting the operation of the operating member 4 when it is in place. In addition, the closure cap 6 gives the complete object an aesthetic and enhancing shape. The closure cap is a continuation of the assembly of the two bottles equipped with the assembly ring.

According to another aspect, the overall diameter D1 is between 60 and 70 mm. In the example illustrated, this diameter D1 prevails in the base part of the device. The upper part of the bi-bottle assembly has a diameter D2. D2 can advantageously be between 50% and 70% of D1, as illustrated by example in the .

According to another aspect, the two-bottle assembly, formed by the first and second bottles, has a cross-section whose dimension decreases when moving from the base towards the top. According to other examples, the cross section can also be oval, hexagonal, rounded rectangle, or other.

Furthermore, the height H1 of the bi-bottle assembly is between 75 and 85 mm. According to an aspect related to the dimensions, the capacity of each bottle is between 40 ml and 50 ml so that the total capacity of the device is between 80 ml and 100 ml.

The center distance L5 between the axes of the two pumps is between 15 mm and 17 mm

The external diameter D8 of the clipping skirt of each pump ranges from 14 mm to 14.5 mm.

D3 is selected from the range 13.2mm to 13.5mm

The interval separating the two clipping skirts e8 is between 2mm and 3mm.

The spacing L5 = D8 + e8 is such that L5/D8 is between 1.01 and 1.04. Optimal compactness is thus obtained for a given pump diameter and a given overall diameter.

Note that the junction zone 12 between the two bottles at the level of the assembly plane P is quite discreet and only forms a small depression less than 1 mm wide beyond which the general shape of the section prevails. We just notice a small groove at the level of the assembly plane P but this does not affect the general perception of the harmonious shape of the bi-bottle.

With reference to the , it can be seen that the lower edge 89 of the clipping skirt 85 is deflected towards the axis by the bead 36 of the hoop sleeve. Depending on the upper ramp 39 of the bead, the assembly may be more or less difficult to disassemble. The lower ramp makes it possible to separate the sleeve for the insertion of the hoop while the upper ramp 39 makes dismantling difficult. We can have a form of harpoon which makes the locking irreversible.

Note that there is no mechanical element to hold the two glass bottles together at the bottom of the assembly, only the glue does the job. This gives a clean look to the finished product.

It is not excluded to have style patterns on the visible parts of the two bottles.

Note that it is not excluded to have the assembly hoop 3 and the covering ring 5 formed as one and the same part.

Claims (10)

Device for simultaneously dispensing two perfumes, the device extending along a main axis (A), with a reference plane (P) parallel to the main axis (A), the main axis (A) being substantially vertical when the device rests on a horizontal plane,
the device comprising:
- a first bottle (1) and a second bottle (2), both made of glass, the first bottle being identical to the second bottle, the relative positions of the first and second bottles being offset by 180 degrees around the main axis ( A), each of the first and second bottles having a generally planar portion called back so that the first and second bottles are assembled back-to-back, at the location of the reference plane (P),
the first bottle comprising a first neck (11) equipped with a first pump (81) with a first activation pusher (91), the second bottle comprising a second neck (21) equipped with a second pump (82) with a second activation button (92),
each pump having respectively a clipping skirt (85) intended to surround a flange (15) of the neck,
- an assembly hoop (3) comprising a first sleeve (31) configured to surround the first neck and lock the first skirt therein clip and a second sleeve (32) configured to surround the second collar, and lock the second skirt therein clipping, the assembly hoop (3) making it possible to maintain a predetermined distance between the respective axes (Z1, Z2) of the pumps, and therefore the center distance of the necks,
- an operating device (4) to actuate the two activation push-buttons (91,92) together on downward external stress,
each pusher comprising a dispensing nozzle, the two nozzles having separate outlets, each with an axis W1, W2 perpendicular to the main axis A,
and in which a bonding (7) of the first and second bottles is provided, at least in their lower parts in a back-to-back configuration, whereby good cohesion of the assembly of the two glass bottles and the locking of the pumps are ensured . Device according to claim 1, further comprising a trim ring (5) comprising a receiving surface to receive a closure cap (6). Device according to one of Claims 1 to 2, in which the capacity of each bottle is between 40 ml and 50 ml so that the total capacity of the device is between 80 ml and 100 ml. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, the assembly hoop (3) comprises a peripheral skirt which approaches the outer wall of the bottles, Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, in which the bi-flask assembly, formed by the first and second vials, has a cross section whose size decreases when moving from the base to the top. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, in which a recessed central zone is provided (72) in the back of each bottle, so that the glue can be deposited in a bead on an edge zone of the recessed central zone. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, in which each plunger is set on a hollow rod of the pump, and the operating member (4) comprises two orifices configured to be, when the operating member is mounted on the pushers, opposite the outlet of each dispensing nozzle. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, in which each sleeve 31 32 surrounds the clipping skirt over an angular range θ1 of between 300° and 330°. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, in which the overall diameter D1 is between 60 and 70 mm, and the height H1 of the bi-bottle assembly is between 75 and 85 mm. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, in which the capacity of each bottle is between 25 ml and 75 ml.
