L’invention concerne un dispositif de freinage (1) qui comporte un disque de frein du type bi-matière et un étrier de frein (3), le disque de frein comportant une première partie (21) qui forme un bol et une seconde partie (22) surmoulée autour du bol (21), avec deux parties de surmoulage (221) de la seconde partie (22) qui recouvrent un bord périphérique (211) du bol (21), la seconde partie (22) du disque de frein comportant sur chaque face une piste de freinage (222) adaptée pour freiner la rotation du disque de frein par friction contre des plaquettes de frein (31) de l’étrier de frein (3), l’épaisseur de chacune des deux parties de surmoulage (221) étant d’au moins 4 mm et la surface de friction sur la piste de freinage (222) des deux plaquettes de frein (31) recouvre au moins en partie lesdites parties de surmoulage (221).
