Abstract

L’invention propose un dispositif de chauffage électrique (1) de catalyseur de gaz d’échappement, le dispositif de chauffage électrique comprenant un manchon et une structure alvéolaire chauffante par circulation de courant électrique, contenue dans le manchon, le dispositif de chauffage électrique étant adapté pour être positionné dans un tronçon d’une conduite (91) de gaz d’échappement en amont d’un catalyseur (90), en occupant intégralement une section transversale dudit tronçon de manière à ce que des gaz d’échappement circulant dans la conduite passent au travers de la matrice alvéolaire avant d’atteindre le catalyseur, le dispositif de chauffage électrique étant caractérisé en ce que la structure alvéolaire chauffante est adaptée pour dissiper une puissance thermique inhomogène dans une section perpendiculaire à la direction de circulation des gaz d’échappement, de sorte que la température des gaz d’échappement en sortie de la structure alvéolaire chauffante soit homogène dans une section perpendiculaire à la direction de circulation des gaz d’échappement.Figure 2
