Description
Domaine de l’inventionField of the invention
The present invention relates to the field of the dynamic presentation of information on and/or around articles arranged on a presentation medium to be available to a user. These include items sold in a self-service store, general or specialized food or other outlet, or the provision of tools or parts in an industrial assembly workshop or even a workshop of crafts, or even a logistics site.
Generally, the items are marked when they are put in place, by affixing a label. carry out a re-labelling by removing the initial label to replace it with a new label, or, sometimes, by superimposing the new label on the old label.
It has also been proposed to place near the articles electronic labels formed by digital displays which can receive variable information. But this solution involves a fairly heavy cabling infrastructure, and provides erroneous information as soon as the articles are moved relative to their initial location.
More recently, attempts have been made to use the augmented reality technique to provide more dynamic consumer information.
État de la techniqueState of the art
- images of the exposure surface are captured, and
- when it is determined that a captured image is not similar to a predetermined reference image for a zone of the exhibition surface, information associated with a product corresponding to this zone is displayed on a restitution device. Thus, when a user tries to grab a product located at a certain location, his hand appears in a corresponding area of the image. It is then determined that the image is not similar to the reference image, which triggers the display of information on the restitution device.
Concise product displays are provided at such locations, this display includes dynamic displays which carry the freshness information obtained from the storage memory. The memory contents can be changed in various ways per representation of the product source in order to ensure that the freshness contents are valid for the presentation. Initiation and/or expiration dates and/or other contextual elements may be used to vary the use and/or discontinuance of all or part of the stored information content.
- images of the exposure surface are captured, and
- when it is determined that a captured image is not similar to a predetermined reference image for a zone of the exhibition surface, (for example passage of the hand near the apples), a restitution device displays information associated with a product corresponding to this zone (for example the price of apples on a display placed on the “multifruit” stand.
Inconvénients de l’art antérieur US patent US9685002 describes a solution consisting in controlling the capture of a first image of a real landscape by an image capture; detecting a marker image to provide the first information; displaying virtual information based on the first information such that the virtual information is superimposed on the real landscape, wherein a second information is added to the marker, extracting the second information added to the detected marker image; obtaining the first information from the detected marker image to generate a second image of the displayed virtual information such that the virtual information is superimposed on the actual landscape based on the first information; modifying a configuration of the second virtual information image, based on the extracted second information; and determining a positional relationship between the detected marker image and the image capturing portion based on the distortion of the detected marker image relative to a reference marker having a shape that matches the image detected marker image, wherein the configuration of the second image of the virtual information is calculated based on the determined positional relationship between the detected marker image and the image capturing part.
Disadvantages of the prior art
Solution apportée par l’invention The solutions of the prior art are complex to implement and require equipment that is expensive and difficult to adjust. Some of the known solutions require the user to be equipped with a specific accessory, for example glasses of the hololens type, or to have a tablet to superimpose the information with the zone observed.

Detailed description of a non-limiting embodiment
Architecture matérielle The present invention will be better understood on reading the following description, concerning a non-limiting example of embodiment illustrated by the appended drawings where:
Hardware architecture
The system comprises a ceiling support (1), formed for example by a cylindrical box with an open base, containing a projector (2) and a camera (3) as well as a computer (4) and a local memory (5).
It also includes a flat and horizontal display unit (10) in the example described, supporting articles (20 to 25). These articles (20 to 25) are deposited freely on the surface of the display (10). They each have a display area (30, 35), for example an area of the upper surface of the packaging having a matt white surface finish, as well as an identifier (40 to 45), for example of the QrCode type. This identifier (40 to 45) codes at least one identifier of the article (20 to 25), and possibly additional information such as the weight and the code of the nature of the article. This code (40 to 45) is affixed when the article is packaged, and optionally recorded in the information system (6) of the store or workshop.
The camera (2) is oriented to allow reading of the display area of the articles (20 to 25) on the display (10). It is mainly used to acquire images making it possible to read the markers (40 to 45) and the contours of the articles (20 to 25) and/or of the display areas (30, 35).
Architecture fonctionnelle The projector (3) is also directed towards the area for displaying the articles (20 to 25) on the display (10). It is used to project an aggregated image calculated so that it displays on the display area (30, 35) of each of said articles (20 to 25) the corresponding graphic or textual information.
Functional architecture
Le fonctionnement du système est le suivant. The operation of the system is as follows.
First of all, each article is marked during a step (100) at the end of which, by means of a marking operation (200), a marker (40 to 45) is applied to the packaging of each article, by for example a QrCODE calculated during this step (100) according to the nature of the article (for example “wild seabass” or the internal code of this product), the weight, and possibly the expiry date. This information is also recorded in a memory (60) of the information system.
The items are then placed (step 210) on the display stand (10) simply ensuring that the marking (40 to 45) and display (30, 35) areas of the different items do not overlap in order to avoid their masking.
- Position and orientation of each of the articles (20 to 25) and/or of the display zone (30, 35), for example barycentre, and directing vectors of each of the display zones (30, 35)
- Comparison with the previous image to detect removed or added items. This information is also transmitted to the information system (60).
- Reading of the identifier (40 to 45) of each of the articles (20 to 25)
- Recording in the local database (5) of information for each of the articles (20 to 25).
Optionally, this processing also includes the decoding of the information contained in the matrix code (40 to 45) of the article (20 to 25), for example the nature or the identifier of the article and its weight.
- Item identifier, orientation and position of the display area
- Information recorded in the database (60) of the information system, for this same article.
This information relating to each item is periodically refreshed by marketing processing (300) taking into account the stock of available products, the time between the time of processing and the use-by date, the decisions to launch a promotional campaign, the state of sales of complementary products, the rotation speed of the articles on the display (10), etc. These changes are reflected in particular by an update of the price associated with each item or each product range.
This aggregated image thus calculated is transmitted to the projector (2) which projects it onto the presentation surface.
The method further comprises a step of verifying the conformity of the projection with respect to the information recorded in the local memory (5). To this end, the camera (2) periodically transmits images for processing consisting in verifying that the display concerning each article is indeed in the corresponding display zone. For this, the projector can use a structured light facilitating this verification.
The camera also detects the passage of a hand in the optical field of the projector (3) and the removal of an article.
