Reins are mechanical devices which act on the attitude of the horse, generally on the placement of the head and the neck, as well as their angle of closure. Their function may be to stabilize the horse in a practical attitude, or to facilitate gymnastic work.

PRIOR ART

Many devices of this type have been known for a long time, in particular the elastic chambon, the Pessoa reins, the gogue, rubber bands or rubber reins, etc. All the reins currently in use act on the horse's mouth (rubber reins), on the horse's mouth and hindquarters (Pessoa reins), on the mouth and neck (gogue and elastic), but none of these devices has the same operation (efficiency, simplicity, versatility, lined, or mounted on the flat or over obstacles).

TECHNICAL PROBLEM POSED:

Currently, all these devices have at least one major drawback, that of severely limiting the horses' freedom of movement because the reins are mainly attached to the saddle via the sides, limiting movement, or act on the horse's neck, which prevents rebalancing by raising the neck (which allows the neck to be the highest point of the horse). Even the Pessoa training aid, which allows more freedom of movement than conventional devices, has many disadvantages:

cannot be used on horseback,

cannot be used with the saddle on the horse's back,

cannot be used to jump the horse.

There is therefore a real need to create a rein which has the following advantages:

easy to use (easy to adjust and easy to install on the horse),

usable with or without saddle,

usable on foot (with lunge or long reins) as ridden,

possibility of jumping the horse on foot or mounted,

which guarantees great freedom of movement for the horse while allowing it to be oriented in the desired direction (attitude).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention therefore relates to a device of the reins type which allows the horse to lower its neck, to raise its neck, to bend to the left and/or to the right. On the other hand, it prevents the horse from opening by crossing the hand (the horse cannot open its neck angle by sending the tip of its nose forward), from collapsing or from passing over the hand. hand (the horse cannot raise its neck too high and open its angle of the neck by sending the tip of its nose upwards). It only allows to act on the horse's mouth.

We say in equestrian terms that a horse collapses when the rider allows the horse the possibility of lowering its neck very low while the horse does not propel its mass sufficiently forward by sufficient activity of the hindquarters, which makes the horse heavy on the hand.

The originality of the present invention is that the device of the reins type acts at the front of the horse (easy to adjust, set up, use) and acts only on the horse's mouth with an "angle of action » unique in its kind which brings a very important efficiency of action on the horse while leaving the horse maximum freedom of movement. By “angle of action” is meant that the horse's neck can move up, down, to the left and to the right and this without hindering the horse.

The rein-type device according to the present invention comprises two parts (1) and (2):

(a) part (1) includes:

- an attachment system (3) to the saddle made using two carabiner-type elements (9) and a pulley-type element (4) which allows the rope (5) to slide easily;

- a first adjustment system (10);

- a second attachment system (6) via carabiners makes it possible to attach the first part (1) to the second part (2).

b) part (2), which is attached between the front legs of the horse, includes:

- a third adjustment system (11) serving to shorten the length of the part (2) in order to adapt to the size of the horse;

- a fourth adjustment system (12) making it possible to adjust the angle closure of the horse's neck in order to allow him more or less freedom of movement

- a support system (14) which makes it possible to join together the part (1) and the part (2).

Said first adjustment system (10) makes it possible to adjust the length of the support system (14) so that the horse cannot get in the way while working or jumping.

The support system (14) comprises two rings (7 and 8) which are designed so that the attachment means (6) can be fixed on these loops or can pass through this one, in particular through the ring (7) .

The wide amplitude is achieved thanks to the fourth adjustment system (12) of the very wide part (2) which is located between the front of the horse (and which has several adjustment holes to slide the adjustment buckle) and to the third system adjuster on the strap (13).

The check according to the present invention therefore consists of two distinct parts (1) and (2) which are united at the level of the support system (14) by means of a means of attachment (6) (hooks or carabiners) and rings (7) or (8) to form the reins.

This second part (2) of the reins is made of leather (or other element of the plastic or nylon type (less preferred), or Biothane, and provided with two metal rings (7 and 8), the first ring (8) makes it possible to connect the rope (5) to this second part (2) for relaxation work or allows the code to slide inside this ring itself to then attach itself to the second ring (7) (which allows it to be adjusted very precise of the reins) to make the horse work. Indeed, this second ring slides on the leather part fixed to the strap between the front of the horse. This reins, once adjusted, works on the mouth of the horse in the same principle as a pair of draw reins, with the difference that it is adjustable and fixed and does not pass through the hands of the rider.

In summary, we observe two modes of use:

- when the part (1) is fixed to the part (2) via the ring (8), we are

in “relaxation” mode,

when part (1) is attached to part (2) via ring (7), passing through ring (8), we are in "work" mode.

It should also be noted that the rope (5) or the elastic which passes through the bit (15) and therefore acts on the horse's mouth can be changed at will thanks to the system of hooks (6 and 9) (or carabiners) which makes it possible to remove the rope or elastic from the reins and replace it with a new one when it is damaged.
