Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé d’analyse de la fragilisation par l’hydrogène de pièces mécaniques en aciers nus ou revêtus, éventuellement traités thermiquement, comprenant un essai préliminaire de traction sur un premier échantillon de pièces en position de serrage pour déterminer leur seuil de rupture à l’air, caractérisé en ce qu’on prépare un second échantillon de pièces identiques en position de serrage qui sont au moins partiellement immergées dans un milieu contenant de l’hydrogène où elles sont chargées électriquement, on effectue ensuite, dans ledit milieu, un essai de traction sur les pièces du second échantillon en leur appliquant une force de traction par paliers successifs correspondant chacun à une fraction du seuil de rupture à l’air jusqu’à atteindre un seuil de rupture à l’hydrogène desdites pièces puis on détermine leur résistance à la fragilisation par comparaison entre leur seuil de rupture à l’hydrogène et leur seuil de rupture à l’air.
