Abstract
L’invention propose un procédé de diagnostic de la capacité d’oxydation d’un système de post-traitement des gaz de combustion d’un moteur Diesel dont le circuit d’échappement comporte en outre, à l’aval du système, un catalyseur de réduction sélective des oxydes d’azote équipé à sa sortie d’un capteur d’ammoniac sensible aux hydrocarbures imbrûlés HC. Selon l’invention, on réalise une post-injection tardive d’une quantité prédéterminée de carburant dans le moteur, qui ne participe pas à la combustion dans les cylindres et qui pénètre dans le système de post-traitement, où une certaine proportion y est brûlée par oxydation. On mesure la valeur de la concentration relevée par le capteur d’ammoniac, et on détermine la concentration d’hydrocarbures sortant du système de post-traitement comme étant égale à ladite valeur de concentration après s’être assuré de l’absence de fuite d’ammoniac à l’aval du catalyseur de réduction sélective des oxydes d’azote. La capacité d’oxydation du système de post-traitement est conforme lorsque ladite valeur de concentration d’hydrocarbures est inférieure à un seuil. Figure à publier avec l’abrégé : figure 2
