Abstract
Cosmetic product for making up the skin or the lips or the eyelashes or the nails comprising one or more cosmetic compositions with at least one coloring agent, the cosmetic product comprising a packaging article in one or more parts and containing the composition (s), at least one of the parts of the packaging article comprising a transparent bio-based plastic material, preferably a rilsan. Use in particular in the field of lipsticks.
Description
In the field of cosmetic products, the choice of product packaging items is often essential. It has an impact on the lifespan of the cosmetic product due to the intrinsic resistance of its constituents. It also impacts the lifetime of the cosmetic composition contained by the risks of incompatibility with its ingredients.
The nature of the constituents of this article and the method of obtaining these constituents also influences the environmental cost of the article.
Finally, the physical qualities of the constituents of the packaging article have a very important role in the perception of the cosmetic product as a whole by the consumer. This is true for the softness to the touch of the packaging article but it is above all true for its optical properties and in particular the transparency. The latter can be fundamental for the observation by the consumer of the quality of the cosmetic composition. This is particularly useful when the composition includes dyes because the transparency then makes it possible to see the color of said composition before application and its homogeneity. This can be important in cosmetic products such as eye shadows and especially lipsticks.
Until now, one of the most widespread plastic materials for obtaining packaging articles or parts of transparent packaging articles, in particular rigid, for cosmetics is PPMA or polymethyl methacrylate. Mention may in particular be made of the packaging articles for lipstick L109 from the company Albea.
However, this plastic material is not without flaws. Apart from the fact that there is no natural plant source making it possible to obtain it directly, it also does not have a high impact resistance, nor a very high flexibility, nor a high resistance to mechanical fatigue. Its density is medium which does not lead to ultra light packaging articles.
There is therefore a need to have packaging articles, in particular rigid, at least partly transparent, lighter, more resistant, more flexible and with an improved carbon footprint for containing cosmetic makeup compositions with colorants.
