L’invention porte sur un amortisseur (10) pour véhicule automobile ou motocyclette comportant: - un corps (11) destiné à être lié mécaniquement à un élément structurel, - une tige (12) destinée à être liée mécaniquement à au moins un autre élément structurel, et- un ressort amortisseur (13) monté autour de la tige (12) permettant un débattement du corps (11) par rapport à la tige (12),- le corps (11) de l'amortisseur (10) étant un corps creux délimitant un volume interne dans lequel est disposé le ressort amortisseur (13), le corps (11) de l'amortisseur (10) étant mobile en rotation par rapport à la tige (12) autour d'un axe de rotation (X) correspondant à un axe de ladite tige (12).
