La présente invention porte sur une électrode (1) à auto-cuisson pour four (9) à arc électrique comprenant une virole (2) et une colonne centrale (3) comprenant une succession d’éléments allongés carbonés (4) flexibles. L’invention porte également sur un dispositif (100) pour suspendre la colonne centrale (3) de l’électrode (1) ci-dessus. L’invention porte enfin sur une méthode pour rabouter un élément allongé carboné (4) à l’extrémité supérieure (3a) d’une colonne centrale (3) d’une électrode (1) telle que ci-dessus. Figure 1
