Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif d'identification d'obstacles sur un trajet de véhicule automobile, mis en œuvre par un dispositif électronique embarqué. A un instant temporel courant, le véhicule automobile étant à une position initiale (42), le procédé détermine un angle de guidage (a) du véhicule automobile défini par rapport à un axe principal (A) dudit véhicule (10), une zone odométrique d'intérêt (40) en fonction de l'angle de guidage (a) incluant une portion de trajectoire (48) du véhicule (10) à partir de ladite position initiale (42), et un référentiel d'identification d'obstacles associé. Pour au moins un élément de trafic détecté par un capteur embarqué ou externe au véhicule, le procédé calcule des coordonnées d'au moins un point dudit élément de trafic dans le référentiel d'identification d'obstacles, et détermine l'appartenance dudit au moins un point de l'élément de trafic à la zone odométrique d'intérêt en fonction des coordonnées calculées, ledit élément de trafic étant identifié comme obstacle si au moins un point dudit élément de trafic appartient à la zone odométrique d'intérêt (40).
