Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble de protection comportant un coussin gonflable de type rideau comprenant un sac replié ou enroulé (22) et étant fixé le long d'un brancard latéral (3) de la structure de caisse d'un véhicule ; ledit sac (22) comprenant une poche principale prévue pour se déployer de haut en bas de sorte à protéger la tête des occupants des sièges latéraux avant et arrière situés du côté dudit coussin (21), ainsi qu'une poche additionnelle en communication fluidique avec ladite poche principale et prévue pour se déployer en dessous d'au moins une portion de la longueur de cette dernière de sorte à protéger la zone thorax d'un occupant assis sur l'un desdits sièges latéraux, ledit ensemble comportant en outre un déflecteur supérieur (26) fixé audit brancard latéral (3) au niveau de la zone de déploiement de ladite poche additionnelle et comprenant une paroi de butée (26B) s'étendant au dessus dudit sac (22) de sorte à empêcher son déploiement vers le haut.
