Abstract

The present application relates to a process for the simultaneous application of at least two hair products, comprising the following successive steps aimed at: - depositing a quantity of a first cosmetic product in a first cavity for distributing and applying a hair product applicator, - depositing a quantity of a second cosmetic product in a second distribution and application cavity of said applicator, - bringing the distribution and application cavities into engagement with at least part of a hair in treating and moving the applicator so as to cause the progressive release of the hair products on the hair to be treated, the method being characterized in that the second cosmetic product is able to treat the exposed hair in a different way according to at least one characteristic property of said hair.

Description

Title of the invention: Process for the simultaneous application of at least two hair products and applicator for the implementation of such a process The present invention relates to the field of the application of products, in particular cosmetic, in a person's hair, for example for the purpose of treatment, coloring, or even crimping.

By “cosmetic composition” is meant in particular a composition as defined in Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 30, 2009, relating to cosmetic products.

More particularly, the present invention relates to a hair product applicator, in particular in the form of a foam or gel, comprising an application element formed by a plurality of teeth, a first portion of which defines a first surface. suitable for being engaged with the hair and in particular the scalp, and a second portion of which, opposite to the first, defines a second surface, arranged at a distance from the first, is intended to receive said hair product.

Each tooth defines with at least one neighboring tooth spaced an open passage section such that a displacement of said applicator element, with said first surface in engagement with the hair is capable of causing the gradual release of said hair product on the hair through said passage sections, the teeth being connected to each other by a support of which a junction zone with the teeth is located at a distance from said first surface.

Such an applicator is described for example in documents FR2799621 and US1413320A.

In other words, such combs include an application element formed of at least two teeth, and a support element connecting the teeth. The teeth define two surfaces, namely a first surface capable of coming into contact with the hair or even the scalp and a second surface opposite to the first and capable of receiving the hair product. The support element is arranged at a distance from said first surface so that a dose of hair product temporarily stored on the second surface is gradually distributed in the hair when said application element moves with the first surface in contact with the hair, the support element allowing regular release of hair product into the hair. The hair product application device performs the product storage function thanks to the concave space formed by one face of the teeth, one face of a support element and lateral flanges, and a distribution function thanks to the formed teeth. in two parts, the second part ensuring the scraping and extending over a sufficient distance between the first part and the support element to avoid wringing.

We also know the document FR3022744 which describes an applicator comb called "bucket".

A comb according to document FR3022744 comprises a support and an applicator part carried by the support comprising at least one cup defining an open cavity and having slots.

In an alternative embodiment, the document FR3022744 describes an applicator comprising several cups arranged along an arm carrying the cups defining the cavities. The arm is traversed by an internal channel allowing the delivery of the product into the cavities. The latter are advantageously supplied in parallel from the same channel.

This variant with multiple cups makes it possible in particular to apply a coloring product to the hair in order to achieve a regular effect of colored locks.

Such applicator combs have greatly facilitated the application of products in a person's hair.

Indeed, such combs make it possible to temporarily store a dose of the hair product to be applied and to ensure its gradual and homogeneous application while limiting the contact of the product with the scalp.

Although greatly facilitating the application of cosmetic product, the applicators according to FR2799621 and FR3022744 remain limited in terms of functionality and application effects.

There is thus a need for the use of such applicators which also allow specific effects.

To do this, the present invention relates to a process for the simultaneous application of at least two hair products, preferably in the form of a foam and / or a gel, comprising the following successive steps aimed at:

- depositing a quantity of a first cosmetic product in a first distribution and application cavity of a hair product applicator, [0017] - depositing an amount of a second cosmetic product in a second distribution cavity and applying said hair product applicator, - bringing the dispensing and application cavities into engagement with at least part of a hair to be treated and moving the applicator so as to cause the gradual release of the hair products onto the hair to be treated, the method being characterized in that the second cosmetic product is capable of treating hair exposed in a different manner according to at least one characteristic property of said hair.

Thus, by filling each cavity with the same applicator / comb with at least two cavities, with hair products capable of treating the user's hair differently, it is possible and easy to obtain a corresponding effect on the user's hair.

In the case of hair coloring products, for example, such a method allows the simple obtaining of a multicolored effect.

By "treating exposed hair differently", it is meant that the first hair product used is capable of bringing to the hair a distinct clean effect, and in particular visibly distinct, from that provided by the second hair product.

More particularly, in the case of hair coloring products, the term "different" products means products providing the hair, under the conditions of application of the method, a difference in colon ΔΕ greater than 1, preferably greater than 3 , in the CIELab color space.

Other types of products more particularly possible are glitter coloring foams as well as styling products such as gel or fixing lacquer with mat and shiny effects.

Preferably, the applicator is moved in a substantially longitudinal direction of the wicks to be treated.

Also preferably, the applicator is moved in a direction from the roots to the tips of the hair of the locks to be treated.

More particularly, the applicator is moved substantially over the entire length of the wicks to be treated; especially from the roots to the tips of the hair of the strands to be treated. Alternatively, the applicator can be moved only along only part of the wick, in particular a part of the wick ending at the tips of said wick (so-called "Tie & Dye" effect or semi-coloring).

According to a particular embodiment, the hair products are hair coloring products.

According to a first variant, the hair products are products of the non-rinsed type, the application process not comprising a specific rinsing step after application.

Alternatively, according to a second variant, the hair products are of the rinsed type, the application process comprising an additional rinsing step after application, the rinsing step preferably having at least 5 to 10 minutes after application.

Preferably, the rinsing step preferably takes place at most 30 to 60 minutes after application.

Advantageously, the method comprises at least a second application step comprising the additional substeps intended to disengage the distribution and application cavities of the hair at the end of a movement of the applicator and move the applicator over the hair to re-engage the distribution and application cavities with a second part of the hair not previously treated.

The displacement of the applicator on the hair essentially consists of a shift of the applicator in a direction substantially transverse to the direction of displacement during application (in particular longitudinal direction of the strands of hair) as well as in a ascent of the applicator to the initial level of displacement (in particular at the level of the roots).

Preferably, the second part of the hair to be treated is adjacent to the part of hair previously treated, the two parts of hair preferably having no substantially overlapping area. In other words, the distance of the transverse offset is substantially equal to the total length of the application cavities.

Thus, by successive shifts, the user can treat all or part of his hair with the products to provide the desired effect, in particular a multicolored effect.

The present invention also relates to an applicator for the implementation of a method according to the present application, said applicator comprising an application element formed of a plurality of teeth, a first portion of which defines a first surface capable of being engagement with the hair, and a second portion, opposite the first, defines a second surface, arranged at a distance from the first, and intended to receive said hair product, each tooth defining with at least one neighboring tooth a section of passage such that a displacement of said applicator element, with said first surface in engagement with the hair is capable of causing the gradual release of said hair product on the hair through said passage sections, the teeth being connected together by a support of which a junction zone with the teeth is located at a distance from said first surface.

According to the present application, the applicator is characterized in that the application element has at least one intermediate wall extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the second surface and to the support so as to divide the application element in at least two corresponding cavities for receiving a cosmetic product.

More particularly, cavities are adjacent along the application element. The intermediate wall will preferably be as thin as possible (in particular with a thickness of the order of a millimeter, more particularly between 1 and 3 mm) so as to allow an application really side by side with the two hair products and to avoid leaving a strip of hair exposed to either of the two hair products.

According to a particular embodiment, the teeth are connected to each other by a second support, extending substantially parallel to the first support so that the cavities form buckets, in particular in the manner of the buckets described in the document FR3022744. Such cups allow better retention of the capillary products inside the cavities and allow use of the applicator in either direction.

Alternatively, the teeth are connected together by a single support, one side of the teeth opposite the support being open, in particular in the manner of the applicator described in the document FR2799621A1. Such a configuration allows better penetration of the teeth into the hair, however the applicator cannot be used in both directions.

Preferably, the sum of the passage sections is substantially identical for each cavity. Thus, the flow of product dispensed may be substantially identical for the two cavities.

Alternatively, the cavities may have different total passage sections between each cavity, so as to distribute the hair products at a different rate when the applicator is moved.

In addition, at least one cavity, preferably the two cavities, has teeth forming passage sections of different surface. More precisely, each cavity can be modified in accordance with the teaching of application FR18 / 52690 filed on March 28, 2018 and not yet published, said application being incorporated by reference.

In a manner known per se, the applicator can have the following additional characteristics.

Advantageously, the applicator element comprises two lateral end flanges, the cavities being formed between said two lateral flanges by the intermediate separation wall or walls.

According to a particular embodiment, the intermediate wall or walls extend substantially parallel to the lateral flanges. Furthermore, the intermediate wall or walls may advantageously have substantially the same shape as the end flanges.

Preferably, the support comprises a junction zone with the teeth, the junction zone being arranged at a distance from said second surface.

Also preferably, the teeth include a free end and an end connected to the support. The second surface is inclined relative to the first surface and the distance between said first and second surfaces decreases in the direction of said free end.

The support can be located at a distance from said first surface between 1 and 10 preferably between 2 and 5 mm.

More preferably, each tooth comprises a first part delimited by said first and second surfaces and a second part coplanar with said first part and connected to the support. The second part provides clearance between the support and the patient's skull.

In one embodiment of the invention, the support and the second part of each tooth are coplanar.

Advantageously, said first and second parts form between them an angle between 45 and 135 °, preferably between 60 and 120 °, or even between 75 and 105 °, for example 90 °.

In one embodiment of the invention, said two parts are connected by a curved part. The second part includes a proximal face intended to come into contact with the patient's skull and a distal face defining the storage space. The thickness of the second part can go increasing from its free end to its other end.

The second part can also be provided with a slight curvature to present a concave face on the side of the patient's skull so that it matches the shape of the skull, this curvature being able to be opposite to that of said curved part.

In another embodiment of the invention, said two parts are connected by a sharp angle.

In one embodiment of the invention, the device comprises means for mounting on a device for dispensing hair products capable of delivering two separate products into the cavities.

The invention can be better understood on reading the following description accompanied by non-limiting examples of implementation thereof, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

- Figure 1 is a schematic perspective representation of an applicator according to the present application according to a first embodiment;

- Figure 2 is a schematic perspective representation of an applicator according to the present application according to a second embodiment.

Figure 1 shows an applicator 10 according to the present application corresponding substantially to an applicator as described in the document FR2799621, integrated by reference.

Thus, Γ applicator 10 thus comprises a handle 1 of elongated shape and of sufficient dimensions to allow easy gripping by the user.

The applicator also includes a solid part 2 arranged in the extension of the handle 1 and being in the form of a thin wall, for example of the order of 2 to 3 mm, of height between 5 and 20 mm, for example of the order of 12 to 14 mm and of length which is a function of the amount of hair which it is desired to apply the hair product to each passage. For example, the length here is of the order of 60 mm.

The solid part 2 comprises a so-called outer face 2a, arranged in extension of one of the walls of the handle 1 and an opposite flat face 2b parallel to the face 2a and said inner.

The applicator comprises a plurality of teeth 3, the number of which is adapted to each application and is here equal to 14. Each tooth 3 is supported by the solid part 2 and is attached to the latter on its thickness, is ie between the faces 2a and 2b on one of its ends, here the lower end as can be seen in FIG. 1. The solid part 2 thus constitutes a support for the teeth 3.

Each tooth 3 comprises two parts, a second part 3 a directly from the solid part 2 and extending downward therefrom while remaining delimited by the planes defined by the faces 2a and 2b of the solid part 2, and a first part 3b generally oriented along a plane substantially perpendicular to the plane of the faces 2a and 2b of the solid part 2.

The first part 3b tapers from its end linked to the solid part 2, to the second part 3a having a free end 4, in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the faces 2a and 2b, as can be seen in figure 1.

The free end 4 teeth 3 is suitably rounded in order to avoid any risk of injury to the user. The free end 4 of the teeth is also shaped as a point so as to allow good separation of the hair.

As seen in Figure 1, all of the free ends 4 of the teeth is located on an axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the support 2.

The second parts 3a define a flat upper face and a lower face also flat and forming between them an angle between 3 and 10 °, preferably between 5 and 8 °, for example of the order of 6 to 6.5 °.

In the example illustrated here, it can be seen that the lower face 6 of the teeth 3 is perpendicular to the face 2a of the solid part 2. However, as a variant, it could be provided that these two faces form between them a angle between 45 and 135 °, preferably between 60 and 120 °, more particularly between 85 and 95 °.

Preferably, all the second parts 3 has teeth 3 are substantially identical.

Also preferably, the teeth 3 are of constant thickness in the direction of their width.

On either side of the row of teeth 3, two flanges 8 and 9 are provided which are also attached to the solid part 2 at each of its longitudinal ends and of generally triangular shape with a rear side in the plane of the face 2a of the solid part 2, a lower side in the plane of the lower face 6 of the teeth 3 and an upper side substantially joining the free end 4 of the teeth 3 to the upper end of the solid part 2 to the opposite of the second part 3a of the teeth 3. The flanges 8 and 9 are perpendicular to the plane of the faces 2a and 2b the solid part 2.

The flanges 8, 9 form with the solid wall 2 and all of the teeth 3, a concave space for receiving the cosmetic product.

Each tooth 3 defines with a neighboring tooth 3 spaced a space 7 said inter-tooth which will generally be greater than or equal to 2 mm, the width of the teeth being of the order of 1 to 2 mm. In this case, the interdental space is equal to 2 mm.

This interdental space 7 constitutes a passage section for the hair.

Note that the interdental distance may be different between the different cavities of the applicator.

The inter-tooth space 7 is limited by the lower end of the solid part 2 and ends in a rounded bottom 10. This bottom 10 is rounded in order to avoid any risk of injury or trapping of hair.

Regardless of the relative inclination of the lower face 6 of the teeth 3 and of the face 2a of the solid part 2, the rounded bottom 10 remains substantially parallel to the lower face of the teeth 3 at a distance between 5 and 8 mm, for example of the order of

7.5 mm which forms a clearance. This distance will always be greater than the maximum thickness of the second part 3b of the teeth 3, so that a hair or a tuft of hair which is engaged between two teeth 3 in an inter-tooth space 7 is not folded back against the scalp when moving the applicator relative to the user's skull.

In accordance with the present application, the concave space for receiving the cosmetic product is divided into two cavities each intended to receive a different cosmetic product.

To do this, the applicator 10 comprises an intermediate wall 15 extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the second surface and to the support 2.

Thus, the intermediate wall 15 divides the concave space for receiving the cosmetic product into two corresponding cavities capable of allowing the reception and storage of two different hair products.

The intermediate wall 15 has substantially the same triangular shape as the end flanges 8, 9. The intermediate wall is arranged substantially parallel to said end flanges 8, 9.

Note that the intermediate wall 15 is located substantially in the center of the application element and the concave space between the end flanges, the concave receiving space being divided into two identical cavities.

Obviously, the intermediate wall 15 can be arranged differently, in particular one third of the distance between the two flanges 8, 9 depending on the type of products used and the desired application proportions.

Figure 2 shows an applicator 20 different from the applicator 10 only in that it comprises two intermediate walls 15 dividing the concave receiving space into three cavities.

In the particular case shown, the three cavities are of substantially equal size, the intermediate walls 15 being spaced apart and the flanges 8, 9 of one third of the total length of the application element.

The variant embodiments mentioned in document FR2799621 are applicable to Γ applicator according to the present application.

The applicators 10, 20 are used in the following manner.

The user deposits a quantity of a hair product in each of the cavities formed between the intermediate walls 15 and the flanges 8, 9 as well as with the inner face 2b of the solid part 2 and the upper face of the teeth 3 .

In accordance with the present application, the products are different from each other.

Hair products are in particular in the form of a foam and / or a gel.

They are in particular hair coloring products capable of bringing to the hair, under the conditions of application of the method, a color difference ΔΕ greater than 1, preferably greater than 3, in the CIELab color space.

The cavities having been loaded with cosmetic products, the distribution and application cavities are brought into engagement with part of a hair to be treated.

The applicator, and consequently, the cavities, is moved so as to cause the gradual release of the hair products on the hair to be treated, [0095] Thus, the user passes the applicator through his hair in having the underside 6 of the teeth 3 parallel to the local surface of the scalp. The hair then passes under the solid part which remains perpendicular to the local surface of the scalp, below the rounded bottom 10 which is sufficiently distant from said local surface of the scalp to, on the one hand, avoid tackling the hair against this surface, and avoid pressing them, which could cause wringing with a reduction in the amount of product remaining on the hair, and on the other hand, avoid bringing the hair provided with product into contact with the scalp.

However, the presence of the solid part 2 beyond the rounded bottom 10 prevents an excessive amount of product from being entrained by the hair, in particular at the start of application.

The displacement of the applicator 10, 20, takes place in a substantially longitudinal direction of the wicks to be treated.

The applicator 10, 20 is in particular moved in a direction from the roots to the tips of the hair of the locks to be treated, in particular over the entire length of the locks to be treated; especially from the roots to the tips of the hair of the strands to be treated.

The application can be done in several stages, in particular by moving the applicator over the hair to treat a portion of the adjacent hair.

Claims (1)
