Abstract

Le procédé d'aide au pilotage d'un aéronef susceptible d'atterrir sur une piste d'atterrissage comprend les étapes suivantes : a) détermination de conditions de vol courantes de l'aéronef ; b) détermination, au moins à l'aide desdites conditions de vol courantes, d'une première distance d'approche ; c1) détermination d'une position courante de l'aéronef et sélection d'un premier point (P1), sur un écran (26) du cockpit de l'aéronef, fonction de la position courante de l'aéronef ; c2) sélection d'un deuxième point (P2) à proximité de la piste d'atterrissage ; et c3) commande de l'affichage, sur l'écran du cockpit, d'un premier arc de cercle (C1) centré sur le deuxième point (P2) et dont le rayon est fonction de la première distance d'approche, ce premier arc de cercle étant tel que d'une part il coupe, en un troisième point (P3), une droite (14) passant par le premier point (P1) et par le deuxième point (P2) et, d'autre part, la longueur (w) affichée sur l'écran d'une partie du premier arc de cercle (C1) située entre le troisième point (P3) et une première extrémité (E1) du premier arc de cercle correspond à une longueur prédéterminée.
