Abstract
Un dispositif de rétro-éclairage pour dispositif d'affichage comprend une pluralité de sources de lumière (2) et un réseau de cellules (4) comprenant une pluralité de cellules (3) compartimentées au moyen de cloisons positionnées autour de chaque source de lumière (2) de sorte à générer des faisceaux lumineux associés respectivement à chaque cellule (3). Le dispositif comprend au moins une plaque diffusante (6) disposée de manière à recevoir sur une face d'entrée (61) au moins les faisceaux lumineux associés respectivement au réseau de cellules (4). Le réseau de cellules (4) et la plaque diffusante (6) sont séparés par un espacement (5) suffisant pour que les faisceaux lumineux associés à deux cellules (3) contigües se rejoignent au niveau de la face d'entrée (61). Un dispositif d'affichage associé est également décrit.
