Description

Distribution head of a cosmetic product, device and associated application method

The present invention relates to a dispensing head for a cosmetic product comprising:

- a base intended to be mounted on a neck of a container,

- a dispensing cannula projecting from the base to a free end, the dispensing cannula defining a central product dispensing passage opening at the free end,

- an applicator engaged around the dispensing cannula, the applicator defining a through lumen receiving the cannula.

Such a device is intended in particular for the application of a cosmetic care, makeup and / or coloring product to a body surface of a user.

A cosmetic product is more generally a product as defined in Regulation EC No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council dated November 30, 2009, relating to cosmetic products.

Make-up routines tend to become more complex and break down into several stages, for example to precisely apply the product, then massage the body surface, and / or comb keratin fibers, etc.

Such routines require users to have different tools for each operation. This multiplication of tools represents a considerable size and cost for users. In addition, the various tools are often accompanied by a multiplication of small elements, such as caps, increasing the complexity of use and therefore leading to a waste of time for the user.

In patent application FR 2 747 650 A1, a dispensing capsule for a container comprises a cap mounted fixed in translation relative to the container and a deployable cannula relative to the cap.

However, such a capsule is not entirely satisfactory for carrying out a complex routine of application of the product. In particular, it remains necessary for the user to have several tools to carry out the different steps of the routine.

In patent application WO 2014/024040 A2, a double sliding applicator combines a mascara brush and an eye pencil in one device.

An object of the invention is to provide a dispensing head for a cosmetic product which is both multifunctional in order to carry out complex routines, while remaining ergonomic and easy to use.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a dispensing head for a cosmetic product of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the applicator is movable in axial translation relative to the cannula and to the base between a retracted position, in wherein the free end of the cannula projects out of the applicator, and a deployed position, in which the free end of the cannula is flush with the lumen of the applicator or is received within the applicator light.

The applicator being able to occupy a retracted position, the cannula is released during the dispensing of a cosmetic product through the central passage. The product application is therefore precise and simple. In addition, the applicator being able to pass into the deployed position, it can be used easily after applying the product to perform other functions, without having to use any other tool.

According to a variant, the dispensing head comprises a mechanism for locking in translation of the applicator relative to the dispensing cannula active at least in the deployed position.

The locking mechanism allows secure immobilization of the applicator in the deployed position, ensuring precise use thereof.

According to a variant, the locking mechanism comprises a housing formed in one of the dispensing cannula and of the applicator and a locking projection on the other of the dispensing cannula and of the applicator, the mechanism being active. when the projection is received in the housing.

The provision of a blocking mechanism comprising a projection cooperating with a housing ensures simple manufacture, and a reversible blocking.

According to a variant, the locking mechanism is capable of locking the applicator in rotation relative to the dispensing cannula in the deployed position.

By blocking the applicator in rotation, it is possible to perform functions requiring high precision, such as combing.

Alternatively, the locking mechanism is adapted to allow rotation of the applicator relative to the dispensing cannula in the deployed position.

The rotation of the applicator is favorable for a wide application of the cosmetic product on the body surface.

Alternatively, the translational locking mechanism of the applicator relative to the dispensing cannula is active in the retracted position.

The translational locking of the applicator in the retracted position guarantees that it does not interfere with the cannula during the application of the product.

Alternatively, the applicator includes a comb or a roller, the roller having the shape of a cylinder, an ogive or a ball.

The different types of applicator allow for various functions.

Alternatively, the free end of the dispensing cannula has a rounded shape.

The rounded shape of the cannula avoids the risk of injury to the body surface.

Alternatively, the applicator is reversibly removable from a configuration engaged on the dispensing cannula to a configuration detached from the dispensing cannula.

The reversible disassembly of the applicator allows easy cleaning, or a change of type of applicator when necessary.

Alternatively, the base includes a cylindrical skirt defining an inner conduit, the base defining a shoulder on which the applicator abuts in the retracted position.

The presence of an applicator stop in the retracted position ensures that it remains in this position and avoids any interference during product application. The maintenance can be ensured by clipping or tightening.

The invention also relates to a device for packaging and applying a cosmetic product comprising:

a container defining an interior volume for receiving cosmetic product, the container comprising a neck, and

- A dispensing head as defined above, the dispensing head being mounted on the neck.

The container as defined above can be a tube.

The invention further relates to a method of applying cosmetic product to a body surface comprising the following steps

- supply of a device as defined above, the applicator being in the retracted position:

- deposit of the cosmetic product by applying the free end of the dispensing cannula to the body surface,

- axial translation of the applicator along the dispensing cannula between the retracted position and the deployed position, and

- application of the cosmetic product on the body surface using the applicator.

The application of the cosmetic product in the application process according to the invention may include the rotation of the applicator around the dispensing cannula.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example, and made with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

- Figure 1 is a simplified sectional view of a first dispensing head according to the invention, the applicator being in the retracted position;

A device 8 for packaging and dispensing cosmetic product is illustrated diagrammatically in FIGS. 1 to 3. The device 8 comprises a container 9 and a first dispensing head 10 for cosmetic product according to the invention.

The container 9 defines an interior volume for receiving cosmetic product. It has a neck 11, through which the cosmetic product contained in the interior volume is extracted from the container 9 through the dispensing head 10.

The container 9 is for example a tube, a bottle, or a bottle. It contains a cosmetic care, makeup and / or coloring product.

The dispensing head 10 comprises a base 12 mounted in the neck 11, a dispensing cannula 14 projecting externally relative to the base 12 and an applicator engaged around the dispensing cannula 14. In this example, the dispensing head 10 further comprises a selective blocking mechanism 38 of the applicator 16 relative to the cannula 14

The base 12 comprises a cylindrical skirt 18 of axis A-A ’, and a transverse wall partially closing the cylindrical skirt 18 towards the outside. The cylindrical skirt 18 defines an inner conduit 19 through which the cosmetic product flows.

Advantageously, the cylindrical skirt 18 has a thread 20 on its external surface. The thread 20 is then combined with a complementary thread provided on the neck 11, so that the base 12 is mounted by screwing on the neck.

The transverse wall 17 extends substantially perpendicular to the axis A-A ’. The transverse wall 17 defines with the cannula 14 a shoulder 22.

Advantageously, the base 12 has a symmetry of revolution around the axis AA ′.

The dispensing cannula 14 projects from the base 12 to a free end 24. The dispensing cannula 14 defines a central passage 26 for dispensing product which opens upstream, in the internal duct 19, and downstream, at the free end 24.

Advantageously, the free end 24 of the cannula 14 is of rounded shape. It is made for example of plastic, preferably polypropylene, polyethylene or elastomers.

Advantageously, the cannula 14 has at its free end 24 a diameter of less than 6 millimeters, preferably 3 millimeters.

The dispensing cannula 14 has here a symmetry of revolution about a central axis. In the example shown in the figures, the central axis coincides with the axis A-A '.

The cannula can be made of a hard or flexible material or of a bi-material comprising a part made of hard material and a part made of flexible material.

The applicator 16 is engaged around the dispensing cannula 14. The applicator 16 comprises a cylindrical sleeve 27 defining a through lumen 28 into which the cannula is inserted 14. The through lumen 28 has a cylindrical shape of internal cross section complementary to the external cross section of the cannula 14. It is centered on the axis AA ′.

The applicator 16 extends along the axis A-A ’between a proximal end 30 closer to the base 12 and a distal end 32 further away from the base 12.

In this example, the distal end 32 includes a comb 34. The comb 34 advantageously comprises teeth 36 parallel to the through lumen 28 of the applicator 16 and distributed evenly over the distal end.

The applicator 16 here also includes a proximal external gripping skirt 37 converging towards the cylindrical sleeve 27 while moving from the proximal end 30 towards the distal end 32.

The applicator 16 is for example made of metal, ceramic, plastic and / or can be flocked.

The applicator 16 is movable in axial translation along the axis AA ′ relative to the dispensing cannula 14 between a retracted position, visible in FIG. 1, and a deployed position, visible in FIG. 2.

Advantageously, the stroke of the applicator 16 along the axis A-A ’between the retracted position and the deployed position is less than 15 millimeters and is in particular between 5 millimeters and 8 millimeters.

In the retracted position, the free end 24 of the dispensing cannula 14 protrudes out of the applicator 16. Advantageously, the dispensing cannula 14 protrudes out of the applicator 16 over a height along the axis A- A 'greater than 3 millimeters.

The free end 24 of the dispensing cannula 14 is thus disengaged from the applicator 16, limiting the risks of interference with the applicator 16 during the application of product using the dispensing cannula 14.

Similarly, in the retracted position, as visible in FIG. 1, the proximal end 30 of the applicator 16 abuts against the shoulder 22 of the base 12.

The presence of an applicator stop in the retracted position ensures that it remains in this position and avoids any interference during product application. The maintenance can be ensured by clipping or tightening.

In the deployed position, as visible in FIG. 2, the free end 24 is received inside the through lumen 28 of the applicator 16. The orthogonal projection of the free end 24 of the dispensing cannula 14 on the 'axis AA' is then located between the orthogonal projection of the distal end 32 of the applicator 16 on the axis AA 'and the orthogonal projection of the proximal end 30 of the cannula on the axis A-A'.

The locking mechanism 38 prevents axial translation of the applicator 16 relative to the dispensing cannula 14. The locking mechanism 38 is active at least when the applicator 16 is in the deployed position.

Advantageously, this locking mechanism 38 in translation is also active when the applicator 16 is in the retracted position.

The locking mechanism 38 is on the other hand inactive between the deployed position and the retracted position.

In this example, the locking mechanism 38 comprises at least one housing 40 formed in the dispensing cannula 14 and at least one locking projection 42 projecting radically towards the axis A-A 'from the sleeve of the applicator 16 .

As shown in Figure 3, the housing 40 is an annular groove. The locking mechanism 38 is active when the projection 42 is received in the housing 40.

In the example of FIG. 2, the blocking mechanism 38 comprises a proximal housing 41 located closest to the base 12, allowing the translational locking of the applicator 16 in the retracted position and a distal housing 43 located more distant of the base 12, allowing the translational locking of the applicator 16 in the deployed position.

In this example, the locking mechanism 38 is capable of locking the applicator 16 in rotation relative to the dispensing cannula 14 in the deployed position. Advantageously, this rotation lock is achieved by tightening. Alternatively, the housing 40 is not an annular groove but a hole complementary to the shape of the projection 42. The rotation can also be blocked by guide grooves.

Advantageously, the applicator 16 is reversibly removable from a configuration engaged on the dispensing cannula 14 to a configuration detached from the dispensing cannula 14. It is thus possible to dismantle the applicator 16 to wash it or to change the applicator 16 and engage another on the dispensing cannula 14, depending on the desired finish.

Advantageously, applicators 16 of different types are able to be engaged on the cannula 16 and to be movable along the cannula 16 between a retracted position and a deployed position.

A method of applying a cosmetic product to a body surface using the device 8 according to the invention will now be described.

The body surface is for example a skin surface, a keratin surface such as the eyebrows and the hair.

Initially, the device 8 is provided. The applicator 16 is initially in the retracted position.

The device 8 is possibly tilted. Under the effect of gravity and / or pressure on the container 9, the cosmetic product engages successively through the inner conduit 19 of the skirt 18, then in the central passage 26 for dispensing the cannula 14.

The user then applies the free end 24 of the dispensing cannula 14 to the desired body surface. The user then causes the product to exit from the device 8 through the free end 24. Thanks to the reduced dimensions of the cannula 14 at its free end 24, the cosmetic product is deposited with great precision on the body surface.

Then, the user moves the applicator 16 in translation along the axis A-A ’between the retracted position and the deployed position, advantageously until the locking mechanism 38 is activated in the deployed position.

Then, the user applies the cosmetic product to the body surface using the applicator 16. In the example illustrated by FIG. 2, the user uses the comb 32 to distribute the cosmetic product over keratin fibers, such as eyebrows or hair.

The invention as described therefore reduces the number of tools necessary for daily use in the routines for applying cosmetic products. The dispensing head 10 according to the invention thus makes it possible to deposit a cosmetic product precisely on a body surface, then to apply it, without the need to change the tool.

The dispensing head 10 thus saves time for the user during his makeup routines.

In addition, it is possible to use a pre-existing container and add the dispensing head 10 directly to it.

When in use, the dispensing head 10 remains attached to the container containing the cosmetic product. There is therefore no need for the user to handle small items, such as caps, which may be lost.

A second dispensing head 10 of a cosmetic product according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 4 to 7.

The applicator 16 of the second dispensing head 10 differs from that of the first dispensing head 10 in that it does not have a comb and in that it comprises a roller 44. The roller 44 advantageously has the form of a cylinder, a warhead or a ball.

In this example, the locking mechanism 38 is adapted to allow rotation of the applicator 16 relative to the dispensing cannula 14 about the axis A-A ’in the deployed position.

The application process then advantageously comprises a step of rotating the applicator 16 around the axis A-A ’by rolling on the body surface.

In the examples previously described, the base 12 and the cannula 14 are made in one piece. As a variant, the base 12 and the cannula 14 are formed from two parts assembled one on the other

In a variant, the base 12 and the cannula 14 of the dispensing head 10 are formed integrally with the neck 11 of the container 9.

In another variant, the dispensing head 10 is removably mounted on the neck 11 of the container 8, replacing a plug, or another dispensing system.

In a variant, in the deployed position, the free end 24 of the dispensing cannula 14 is flush with the exit of the through lumen 28 from the applicator 16. The orthogonal projection of the distal end 32 of the applicator 16 onto the 'axis A-A' and the orthogonal projection of the free end 24 of the cannula on the axis A-A 'are then merged.

In another variant, the locking mechanism 38 comprises a housing 40 formed in the applicator 16 and at least one locking projection 42 formed on the dispensing cannula 14.
