L'invention concerne un capteur de détection de matière particulaire (10) pour véhicule automobile comportant au moins un premier orifice définissant une première entrée d'air (12) dite pour un flux d'air extérieur, un second orifice définissant une seconde entrée d'air (14) dite pour un flux d'air de recyclage, un troisième orifice dit premier orifice de sortie (15) et un chemin de mesure de la matière particulaire, caractérisé en ce que lesdites entrée d'air (12) pour le flux d'air extérieur et entrée d'air (14) pour le flux d'air de recyclage sont distinctes l'une de l'autre et en ce que ledit capteur de détection de matière particulaire (10) comporte un quatrième orifice dit deuxième orifice de sortie (17). L'invention concerne aussi un appareil de chauffage, ventilation et/ou climatisation pour un véhicule automobile comportant ou sur lequel est disposé un tel capteur de matière particulaire. Application au domaine automobile.
