Description
The present invention relates to an integrated foil holder for outboard boat. By foil, it is understood a wing that gives lift. This foil technology begins to be adopted especially in boating. More commonly in first or second gear for sailing boats, and only aftermarket for motor boats and especially for so-called outboard boats. The aim of the invention is to propose an innovative improved technology of original equipment and / or second-generation foil retention adapted for outboard boats. By maintaining foil, it is understood the structural elements of the boat or reported on the boat that can maintain, guide, and move the foil optimally for the navigation of the boat.
Various foil holding devices are known for sailing boats. These devices respond to particular navigational constraints with the particular ability to make adjustments to orient the foil according to the windward advance, the strength of the wind, the lift of the boat. In short, the maintenance of foil requires to be adjustable, to respond finely to the steering of the helmsman or crew, to be robust. No damping function exists to date for the maintenance of a foil. The function that is sought is that of maneuverability and accuracy of adjustment.
There are foil solution embryos on outboard boats. In fact, the only solutions that currently exist are wing-shaped inserts, which attach to engine components or hull members. There is no integrated solution today that can maintain a foil on an outboard.
A main object of the invention is to provide foil support adapted to the outboard navigation conditions. Namely, including achieving the lift function in optimal conditions, can cash in significant effort and offer passengers a comfortable navigation. By comfort of navigation it is understood in particular to know how to cash the jolts of the boat which comes banging on the waves. By function of lift, it is understood in particular to give to the pilot a reactivity of boat necessary to pass turns, accelerations, decelerations.
An object of the invention is to propose a solution that is robust and easily industrializable.
An object of the invention is to provide a solution that is economical and suitable for both a popular marina market and a high-end market.
In a main aspect, the invention provides a foil holder which makes cooperate a well of foil pierced in the shell, a high support with a servo in translation of the foil, a low support with a damping function of the foil. It being understood that the invention must solve a difficult constraint which is that of allowing on the low support the translation of the foil while ensuring its damping.
In one aspect the invention provides a foil damper housing, mounted in the original or in the aftermarket which will be particularly described below.
In one aspect, the shock-absorbing housing comprises the cooperation of a damping cushion and a sliding ring. Given that a major constraint and difficult to solve is to propose a foil holding device that is compatible with the sealing and setting criteria so as not to allow the water to infiltrate or to brake the boat. The invention will be better understood on reading the appended figures which represent a particular embodiment of the invention in which: FIG. 1 represents a sectional view of the present invention FIG. 2 represents a top view of a boat outboard equipped with the present invention - Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the section of a foil - Figure 4 shows a foil damper box shown in Figure 3 - Figure 5 shows a damper box section implanted in a foil the bottom of well.
Figure 1 shows a sectional view of the present invention, with the hull of an outboard boat which is pierced on its side with a well (15) of foil. A foil (1) is held in the well (15) between a high hold (16) and a low hold (17). The high maintenance (16) of foil masks the floor. The high maintenance (16) foil is a servo housing which typically is a drive mechanism comprising a motor that drives rotating rollers. The set of rollers holds the foil on both sides, and the action of the rotation of the motor on the rollers frictionally generates a translation of the foil (1) in the well (15). The low maintenance (17) foil mouth hull (10). It is in contact with the water and is flush with the hull so as to maintain a smooth character of the hull (10), without asperities. Figure 2 shows a top view of an outboard boat equipped with the present invention with a series of foils (1) which can be arranged port or starboard, towards the center of the boat or rather to the rear. Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the section of a foil (1) which typically has a tapered shape in drop. The foil section is of known type and responds to hydrodynamic lift constraints. Figure 4 shows a damper foil (1). As shown in FIG. 4, the bottom support (17) can be either a complete assembly which is mounted in a frame (41) which itself will then be mounted in the bottom well hole reserved in the boat, the bottom hole of the well. then having the same size as that of the frame (41). The frame (41) can be directly itself the bottom hole of the well. All this depends on the constructive process as it will be adopted. Original equipment, Second manufacture, production series or craft production. In any case the two options are equivalent. The invention proposes pouring in the frame (41) a damping pad (42). The damping pad (42) is typically made of elastomeric material or rubber. When the elastomeric pad is cast, a ring (43) of foil is centered in the center of the frame (41). The ring (43) of foil is as its name indicates a ring which has the same inner section as the outer section of the foil (1). The ring (43) of foil holds and is flush with the foil and can slide on it with a very slight friction or without friction. The foil ring (43) is rigid and can be made of any type of material suitable for a set of bonding constraints, marine environment, and rigidity, lightness and easy to draw and mold or sculpt. There are many technical materials that meet this constraint in shipbuilding. As shown in Figure (5), the section of the ring (43) is identical to that of the foil box. It is therefore understood that the foil ring (43) is maintained by the damping pad (42) which is adhered to its lateral outer section, the elastomeric pad being itself glued to the lateral inner face of the frame (41). It is therefore understood that the low damping hold (17) allows the foil (1) to slide, while it maintains a watertightness, it absorbs the forces according to the lateral directions subjected by the foil (1) by compressing itself or by expanding by its elastic nature. In short, the low maintenance (17) is a foil damper that gives the boat a seat and improved comfort. In a way, the equivalent of what we find on cars whose wheels also have their own shock absorber to cushion the passage of the car on the asperities of the road.
The present invention relates to a foil retainer (1) for motorized outboard navigation equipped with a hull (10), characterized in that the system comprises the cooperation of a hollow well (15) passing through the hull (10). at the floor of the boat, a high holding foil (16) in the well (15) which is equipped with a servo housing in foil translation (1), a low hold (17) in the well (15) sliding the foil (1) in translation, the low hold (17) comprises a damping elastic buffer (42) which surrounds the foil.
The present invention relates to a foil support (1) for outboard navigation, characterized in that the low support (17) is mounted in a frame (41) in which the elastic damping pad (42) is cast between the frame (41) and a ring (43) foil, rigid, hollow, centered in the center of the frame (41), same inner section as the outer section of the foil (1), the ring (43) foil holds and outcrops on the foil and allows the foil to slide on it in its translational movement.
The present invention relates to a foil support (1) for outboard navigation characterized in that the elastic damping pad (42) is elastomeric material.
The present invention relates to a foil support (1) for outboard navigation characterized in that the frame (41) is formed directly from the wall of the hull (10) of the boat formed by the well hole ( 15).
It is clear that many variants may possibly be combined here can be made without ever departing from the scope of the invention as defined below.
