Arbre intermédiaire de transmission de direction de véhicule automobile composé d'un élément mâle et d'un élément femelle cannelés , engagés l'un dans l'autre et solidaires en rotation pour former un arbre intermédiaire télescopique, comprenant un élément mâle (10) composé d'un manchon (11) en une matière plastique composite, muni d'une partie cannelée mâle (12), solidaire par une extrémité du tenon (33) d'une mâchoire mâle (30) de cardan, et un élément femelle (20) composé d'un manchon (21) en une matière plastique composite, muni d'une partie cannelée femelle (22), et solidaire par une extrémité du tenon (43) d'une mâchoire femelle (50) de cardan.
