Abstract

L'invention concerne un système d'arrêt et de redémarrage automatique de moteur thermique faisant appel à un démarreur, le démarreur comprenant un pignon lanceur pouvant être mis en rotation par couplage mécanique avec un moteur électrique du démarreur et engagé ensuite dans une couronne dentée du moteur thermique. Le procédé comprend la détermination d'une zone cible de régime (AE2) pour l'engagement du pignon lanceur dans la couronne dentée en fonction du régime moteur (Nmot) du moteur thermique, et le lancement d'une pré-rotation de synchronisation (S3, PRE-ROT) du pignon lanceur pendant une durée de pré-rotation (TA) déterminée pour amener le régime (Ndem) du pignon lanceur à un régime cible de rotation, la durée de pré-rotation (TA) étant déterminée par un modèle prédictif (S4, CART) en fonction de la tension d'alimentation (VBAT) du moteur électrique et du régime cible de rotation. Conformément à l'invention, le régime moteur (Nmot) est mesuré en temps réel.
