The present invention is in the field of roller shutters or the like. It relates more precisely to the constitution of the safes of such shutters, and even more specifically to the assembly of lateral cheeks to a central box, the cheeks and the box together constituting the storage volume of the shutter, that is to say say the chest. The trunk includes the shutter itself when it is wound, and the mechanical elements necessary for this winding, first of which is the rotating shaft which imparts its movement to the shutter between its deployed positions, at least partially closing an opening of building, and row.

In a known manner, a rolling shutter for this purpose comprises an apron, generally guided vertically by means of lateral slides arranged at the edge of the opening, and the upper edge of which is fixed to the winding shaft. This shaft is connected to the immediate environment of the trunk and in particular to the shutter control means in particular via one of said cheeks, which in fact border laterally the drive structure of the deck and support its rotation. The shaft is in fact kept free to rotate relative to these cheeks, and driven by a manual system accessible from the outside of the boot or by a drive motor.

For mechanical reasons, mainly due to the aforementioned connections and the guides they imply, but also for aesthetic reasons, the method of fixing the cheeks to the box must be subject to special attention at the time of design. pieces.

Beyond the need for a removable, reliable and long-lasting method of securing, industrial issues must be taken into account as much for the design and manufacture of the cheeks and the box itself as for all assembly operations , downstream of said manufacturing.

To date, the means for securing the cheeks to the boxes that can be found in existing configurations generally involve specific fixing members or components, for example of the screw and / or rivet type. These means, admittedly of universal use and easy to implement, are however often used to the detriment of assembly precision, and they lead to manual operations of fixing the cheeks to the boxes which take time. This manual character is obviously then found during all disassembly / reassembly operations.

It results in a significant intervention time, which also depends in particular on the number of fasteners used, hence a tendency to use a minimum number which can lead to the lack of precision which has been reported. before.

Furthermore, this type of solution is generally not automated and in any case not easily automated, and it therefore occupies at least one operator for each assembly / disassembly operation. The total duration of the operations, and the need to allocate work time that can be assigned to at least one operator, make this type of installation unattractive from a strictly economic point of view.

The present invention remedies this observation, by proposing a solution that can be easily automated, therefore devoid as much as possible of human intervention, operating in addition without additional mounting parts external to the system. The proposed solution is also quick to implement, and it leads to a final result of great precision which can be given very successful aesthetic characteristics.

To fulfill these objectives, and others which will appear hereinafter, the invention, which in practice relates to a roller shutter box with a central box and side cheeks, said cheeks being oriented in a plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the box and fixed to said box in the vicinity of its axial ends, is such that mutual fixing means are provided on the box and on each cheek, making unnecessary the use of additional means.

The first consequence of this deletion is of a practical nature, since it makes it possible to significantly increase the speed of implementation and the precision of assembly. Secondly, there is no longer any need to worry about selecting the suitable parts to carry out the fixing, and that there is also no longer any risk of loss of the materials / components in question, losses likely to cause annoying loss of time.

In practice, according to a possible configuration, the cheeks are embedded in the axial ends of the box, and said fixing means comprise at least one lug obtained by cutting from a wall of the box and deformed towards the inside of the box in order to cooperate with a housing opening into the periphery of the cheek, each of the tab and of the housing having, at the end of the deformation, facing faces oriented to block each cheek in the box at least in translation in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the box.

The simple existence of legs to be deformed allows the implementation of an automation which requires firstly a relative positioning of the cheeks and the box and secondly the deformation of the legs in order to block the cheeks in the box, operations relatively easy to automate.

More specifically, the junction of a cut tab with the box in fact forming a straight segment, said segment is oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the box, according to the invention, and the deformation of the tab is then carried out by rotation around this segment.

It is therefore a completely elementary type of deformation, which contributes to the simplicity of implementation outlined above, and ultimately allows the automation of assembly / disassembly operations.

In practice, two edges of at least some of the tabs coming from the ends of the junction segment have a convergence giving a trapezoidal shape to at least a portion of said tab with an axis of shape perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the box, this orientation to achieve longitudinal locking of the cheeks. The trapezoidal shape allows progressive centering as it folds and it guarantees better control of the final position without requiring too precise positioning before folding. Alternatively, said edges may be provided parallel and of shape perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the box.

To fully achieve a fixing function which is not limited to a direction of shape parallel to the longitudinal axis of the box, the tab can be L-shaped, therefore comprising a terminal lug fitting into a recess having at the at least one wall opposite said lug which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the box and located between the lug and the periphery of the cheek.

This lug actually allows locking in a direction perpendicular to the previous one, whose orientation is rather radial in appearance. It prevents the box, which we will see below that it does not necessarily have partitions over its entire periphery, to be detached from a wall for example when it is biased towards a part of the periphery without of partition. More generally, this additional fixing characteristic aims to ensure complete blocking in at least two directions.

However, the legs can also be simpler, depending on the nature, the geometry and possibly the positioning of the housings provided in the periphery of the cheeks, as will be seen below.

Thus, according to a possible configuration, mentioned above, the box can be prismatic and have three main walls perpendicular two by two to form a generally U-shaped section. Such a shape is explained in particular by the fact that the missing wall to close the volume is occupied by an inspection hatch.

In this case, the free ends of the parallel walls may have folds or flaps inwards, forming slides which can be used to guide the cheeks in the interior volume delimited by the walls of the box. This guidance can in particular take place at the time of the initial fitting aiming to position each cheek in the volume of the box, near its axial ends.

According to a possibility specific to the invention, and which reflects the particular configuration of the boxes having the geometric particularity mentioned above, the legs are three in number, located in two walls and a fold of said box.

In practice, two cut legs can be L-shaped trapezoidal barrel whose base forms the aforementioned lug, the third leg, placed in a folded slide, can take the form of a straight tongue. In the latter case, the insertion into a slot in the box, in this case in a slot in the fold or flap, is intended to prevent relative displacement in the axial direction of the box, but has no effect in other directions for which it is particular forms of the box and the cheek which carry out the blockings, if necessary.

All of these features make it possible to quickly and precisely fix the cheeks in a central box, resulting in the production of a rolling shutter box with impeccable exterior aesthetics, whose assembly / disassembly is easy and immediate due to the technological choices made.

The invention will now be described in more detail, with reference to the appended figures which represent an example of non-limiting implementation of the invention, and for which:

With reference to FIG. 1, the box 1 made of cut and folded sheet metal as shown has three walls 2, 3 and 4 arranged substantially in a U, that is to say that the perpendiculars two by two, walls are d 'allure The free ends of the walls 2 and 4 are provided with folds or flaps 5, 6 which can form slides in particular used in the first phase of mounting the trunk. A tongue 12 is also cut in the flap 6. Unlike the configuration used for the legs 10, 11 in L, the tongue 12 is obtained by simple sectioning in U delimiting its surface, no residual cut part surrounding.

When a cheek 20, produced for example by plastic molding and provided with grooves / ribs in particular of stiffening, is inserted into the box 1 as illustrated for example in FIG. 2, said insertion is carried out by sliding at each of the axial ends of the box 1, sliding made possible by the identity of the outer shapes of the cheek 20 and inner of the box 1. In other words, the outer periphery of the cheek 20 conforms to the interior volume delimited by the box 1, and comprises in this effect three faces in U of perpendicular appearance two by two, two of them being moreover separated by an oblique portion which slides in contact with the portion 7 of the box 1.

The cheek 20 is fixed in the box 1 then by deformation on the one hand of the tabs 10 and there are cutouts 9 and 10 in the two adjacent sides 3 and 4, and on the other hand by deformation of the tongue 12 cut out from the flap 6.

The principle of the fixing is explained more clearly, for the legs 10 and 11 in L, with reference simultaneously to the enlargement situated on the right of FIG. 2 and to FIG. 3, which represent the same mechanical connection from two different angles. The third fixing lug, called tongue 12, is produced by cutting from a flap 6 of the sheet forming the box 1, and it constitutes in practice a simple U-shaped cut constituting the straight tongue 12, which can then be deformed in a slot 21 and opposite the of a protuberance 22 of the cheek 20. The latter, which protrudes from the main body of the cheek 20, is inserted into a slide 19 formed by the flap 6 in the box 1. The structure of this link appears in the enlargement placed on the left of figure 4.

The tongue 12 is in practice deformed by rotation about the axis constituted by a segment 23 which connects the tongue 12 to the rest of the flap 6, deformation which results in practice in the extraction of the tongue 12 from the wall of the flap 6 to then be inserted into said slot 21. A blocking in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the box 1 is produced by the tongue 12, due to the proximity of the mutual orientation of the tongue faces 12 and of the slot 21. It is moreover, it should be noted that the particular shape which is given to the flap 6 during the folding of the sheet to constitute the slide which it delimits, as well as the shape of the protuberance 22 of the cheek 20, do not only play a role of sliding guide from one to the other, but also achieve mutual blocking in other directions.

The cooperation of the L-shaped legs 10, 11 and of the housings on the one hand, that of the tongue 12 with the slot 21 combined with the relative shapes of the flap 6 and of the protuberance 22 on the other hand, contribute to an effective blocking of each plays 20 in the box 1. These connecting means also make it possible to achieve precise positioning of one inside the other, resulting in an irreproachable appearance of the roller shutter box, in particular because the external appearance of the box is largely dependent on the box, the shape of which results from well-controlled cutting / bending / stamping operations. Finally, the method of fixing by tongue implemented in the context of the invention makes it possible to arrive at an invisible solution: the location of the tongue 12 in the flap 6 is not visible from the outside, and the tabs 10, 11 on faces 3 and 4 are also not visible when the trunk is installed.

It can be seen that the connections according to the invention are carried out without the addition of additional materials or components (screws, rivets, etc.), and that the simple deformation of the lugs 10 to 12 around a connection segment to the box 1 can easily be automated, which leads to significant time savings during the manufacture of roller shutter boxes as well as during assembly / disassembly operations. It should be noted that when folding the legs, the cheek serves as a folding matrix: the legs can therefore also very easily be folded by hand or with a simple tool such as a screwdriver.

The invention is of course not limited to the example described and explained with reference to the figures, which should only be considered as a simple illustration of the invention. On the contrary, it encompasses the variants and versions which fall within the scope of the claims, including for example the variations in shape and positioning of the legs 10 to 12, cutouts 8 and 9, housings 18, etc. To achieve the technical conditions of the connections shown, a wide variety of forms is possible, provided that certain essential constraints which have been outlined above are respected.
