Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de caractérisation d'un matériau, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes consistant à : e) allonger une éprouvette (2) selon un axe (X) de l'éprouvette (2), dans une machine (3) de traction, de manière à créer une zone de striction de l'éprouvette (2), f) réaliser au moins une image de la zone de striction, g) déterminer la dimension de la zone de striction de l'éprouvette (2), à partir de l'image réalisée, dans un plan s'étendant radialement par rapport à l'axe de l'éprouvette (2), associer ladite dimension de la zone de striction à la valeur de contrainte ou d'effort de traction appliqué à l'éprouvette (2) lors de la prise de l'image.
