Abstract

Ce fer comprend une semelle (2) chauffante ayant une surface inférieure (2a) globalement plane, éventuellement percée d'orifices de passage de vapeur produite par le fer ou par une centrale à laquelle le fer est relié. Selon l'invention, la semelle (2) présente une pluralité de logements ou d'orifices aptes à recevoir en eux, et à laisser dépasser, des éléments mobiles (5) ayant chacun une forme coopérant avec celle du logement ou de l'orifice correspondant, ces éléments mobiles (5) étant mobiles entre une position de dépassement de la surface inférieure de la semelle (2), dans laquelle ils font saillie par rapport à cette surface, et une position de rétractation complète dans lesdits logements ou orifices, des moyens de mobilité étant prévus pour permettre que, lorsque la semelle (2) du fer ne repose sur rien, ces éléments mobiles (5) soient maintenus dans ladite position de dépassement, et que lorsque, notamment en situation de repassage, une force de pression provenant du poids du fer et de l'effort éventuel de l'opérateur sur le fer s'exerce sur les éléments mobiles (5), ceux-ci, sous l'effet de cette force de pression, se rétractant partiellement ou totalement dans lesdits logements ou orifices.
