Dispositif de freinage (1) actionné par une chaussure de ski (4) comprenant: - une embase (10) fixée sur une face supérieure (21) d'un ski (2), - au moins un organe de freinage (11a, 11b) monté rotatif sur l'embase autour d'un premier axe (Y11) transversal à l'axe longitudinal (X10) de l'embase, l'organe de freinage étant mobile entre une position active de freinage dans laquelle un élément d'arrêt (116) supporté par l'organe de freinage fait saillie d'une face inférieure (22) du ski et une position inactive, dans laquelle l'élément d'arrêt est relevé par rapport à la face inférieure du ski, - une pédale (12) montée rotative directement sur l'embase autour d'un deuxième axe (Y12) transversal à l'axe longitudinal (X10) de l'embase, la pédale étant apte à coopérer avec l'organe de freinage de sorte à entraîner le déplacement de l'organe de freinage de sa position active vers sa position inactive lorsque l'utilisateur désactive le dispositif de freinage en déplaçant la pédale d'une position de libération à une position d'enclenchement par un appui de la chaussure sur la pédale, Le dispositif de freinage comprend un rouleau (16) monté rotatif sur la pédale autour d'un troisième axe (Y16) transversal à l'axe longitudinal (X10) de l'embase, le rouleau étant positionné au niveau d'une extrémité libre (122) de la pédale de sorte que l'appui de la chaussure sur la pédale permettant la désactivation du dispositif de freinage est réalisé par l'intermédiaire du rouleau.
