L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission de données. Selon l'invention, ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes, mises en œuvre par une unité de commande installée dans un premier véhicule situé dans une zone géographique : E1- réception d'une donnée relative à un évènement routier se produisant dans ladite zone géographique, puis, consécutivement à la réception de cette donnée, E2- capture d'au moins une image d'un environnement routier du premier véhicule, au moyen d'un dispositif de capture d'image installé dans le premier véhicule, et E3- transmission de données représentatives de ladite image, à un dispositif distant, par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de télécommunication sans fil. L'invention propose également un dispositif de transmission de données associé.The invention relates to a method for transmitting data.
