The present invention relates to a housing for projecting virtual images from 2D images for example generated by a mobile phone screen or a digital tablet.

It also relates to a device comprising such a housing, a blank or a set of blanks for forming and a method of mounting such a housing.

It finds a particularly important application although not exclusive in the field of the dissemination of holographic type images for individuals, allowing for example to see video clips of artists, trailers filmed on a black background, or having such a background for example by clipping, or to play video games developed to be viewed in the form of holograms or the like.

With the invention, the students will for example be able to observe geometry elements with a 3D effect.

Such an invention also allows a presentation (object, plan, model ...) of a project, for example architectural, prototype machine, car etc ... particularly attractive and / or to give a third party, an effect presence when communicating with a remote party.

The projection of an image on a partially reflecting screen, so that the observer has the optical illusion of seeing a virtual image resembling a hologram at the back of the screen, is known as illusion of the "Pepper's Ghost" ("Pepper's ghost" in Anglo-Saxon).

Such projections have been used in the past in advertising or promotional staging. A presenter stands at the back of a large, partially reflective screen located obliquely to the ground. The screen is formed by a transparent canvas stretched, the projected image being the image reflected by a mirror on the canvas.

Such an arrangement, which allows the presenter to pass through the image without obstructing it however has disadvantages.

It requires a complex apparatus allowing in particular to stretch the fabric sufficiently to avoid wrinkles that would otherwise result in inadmissible deformations of the image.

Risks of scratches of the screen, in particular by dust, also exist with the devices of the prior art.

In addition the parasitic lights inherent to the scene remove the image's color qualities. To overcome this last drawback, it is then necessary to provide very powerful projectors (for example> 8,000 lumens) to obtain a sufficiently contrasted image with his immediate surroundings.

With the present invention, the idea is to use the illusion of the "Pepper Ghost", no longer on a stage of dark theater of large dimensions but in a removable box allowing the light to pass from the outside and usable with n any digital tablet or PDA having a low-light digital screen, provided that the projected images have been designed to be viewed of this type, that is to say that they were filmed on a dark background or black background or that they have such a background.

Magically and using a small-sized box in a cube with dimensions less than 1m x 1m x 1m, and with a transparent or partially transparent sheet or sheet, of small size (less than 1 m on 1 m), which does not require a complicated means of tensioning a film, we obtain a surprising result, even more impressive, everything else equal, than that of a magical lantern of the 19th century.

Advantageously, the sheet is formed by a non-deformable film in its plane.

By non-deformable in its plane is meant non-deformable in tension or contraction of the surface of the sheet (it can therefore be deformable or not flexural). It can thus be a rigid plate such as a glass plate with a rigid plastic, or a plate or flexible sheet.

The object of the present invention is to provide a housing, a blank, a set of blanks, a device and a method for assembling a housing that responds better than those previously known to the requirements of the practice, in particular by enabling the observation of an object or a person of reduced dimensions (a few centimeters), with a 3D effect, impressive and in a small space, without visible screen, without special technology other than that of the tablet or the PDA, and this easily Mountable (eg by a child under ten).

It has thus surprisingly been observed that such a box exhibited luminosity and rendering results sufficient for mass diffusion at a particularly low cost.

For this purpose, the present invention notably proposes a box for projecting a user of virtual images from 2D images generated on a light emission plane, comprising a frame formed by at least one rear side face and one face. an open frontal side for visual access to the inside of the box by the user and comprising two end planes, namely a lower plane and an upper plane, one of said end planes being arranged to hold or support said light emission plane, an at least partially transparent planar screen, said frame being arranged to support the screen in an inclined manner with respect to the light emission plane and said screen being arranged to reflect the light emitted by said plane light emission so that virtual images corresponding to said 2D images generated on the light emission plane appear to be located behind the screen in said chassis relative to the user.

Advantageously, the flat screen is formed by a sheet of transparent plastic material, which is not deformable in its plane, for example of thickness less than 0.5 mm.

In advantageous embodiments, one or more of the following provisions are also and / or in addition used: - the upper plane is formed and / or contained in a top face at least in part openwork; - the frame fits into a parallelepiped L x 1 x h with 1 <35cm, L <30 cm and h <25 cm.
