Abstract
Shoe insoles, or orthopedic insoles, to compensate for Greek and Egyptian type feet to relieve the metatarsalgia that may result. Insoles of small size, modular, removable, self-adhesive, movable, positionable directly in the shoe and variable thickness. They consist of elements, for example in the case of a Greek-type foot, the element (1) of FIG. 4, having the effect of compensating for the lack of length of the first metatarsal head in order to reduce the pressure under the neighboring metatarsal heads. Various elements may be added to this element, such as for example (2) of FIG. 4, to increase the action if the footwear is sufficient. This invention is particularly indicated in footwear with low footwear and / or high heel.
Description
The present invention relates to insoles of footwear or orthopedic soles characterized in that they are of reduced size, modular, self-adhesive, movable, can be of variable thickness, directly positionable in the shoe, intended to compensate for the differences in length of the metatarsals in cases of Greek or Egyptian type foot and to prevent or relieve the metatarsalgia that can result while having a reduced footprint. They may also act, for some elements on the round toe, the hallux valgus and the hallux rigidus.
Orthopedic insoles are traditionally made from a support, called base, starting from the back of the shoe and stopping at half,% or the front end of the shoe. This base therefore occupies a certain volume in the shoe to maintain in position elements of corrections, compensations or stimulations.
The currently existing devices in the trade, to relieve metatarsalgia, do not take into account the Greek and Egyptian morphologies of the majority of the feet in that they have the same thickness under all the forefoot or, when they are of sizes reduced, are not intended to compensate for differences in the lengths of the metatarsal heads.
It is known from the state of the art a device which has been the subject of a patent application US6277088 (Bl). This device has disadvantages, a limited action at the 2nd metatarsal only, a fixed thickness, a lack of modularity and a size that can be further reduced.
The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages, and proposes a method of acting on the feet while taking the least possible space in the shoe. To do this, the components of the sole will be placed directly in the shoe, and no longer on a base, which will save space by removing the base. The interest for users, will be to be able to keep their shoes without having to change to fit more voluminous soles. This concept is therefore particularly suitable for footwear with low footwear. The elements will be movable to change shoes or adjust the position according to the feeling of each. They will be held in position thanks to the use of a non-permanent or repositionable glue. Users will be able to position them in the shoe where they want and change shoes if they wish. Another advantage over conventional orthopedic insoles is that I can use my invention on one side, without necessarily using a pair, which saves materials and glues, thus reducing waste and pollution, since only one side and reduced size can be used. This one-sided use is possible since no base under the heel is used so there is no change in leg length to compulsorily compensate by an opposite sole.
Consequently, in the case of Greek-type foot, where the 1st metatarsal is shorter than the 2nd, a large part of the weight of the body is supported by the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads during the digitigrade phase of the step, or even the plantigrade phase with high heels. Outside, the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads are not adapted to receive this increase in weight which often causes pain called metatarsalgia. The action of the present invention will therefore compensate for the difference in length of the metatarsals by restoring support to the first metatarsal head. To do this, a wedge (1), traditionally called "sub capital support", will be placed under the first metatarsal head. Its action will consist in increasing the support under this head which will reduce the pressure supported by the neighboring heads. What makes this wedge special is that it is no longer fixed on a base but installed directly in the shoe which reduces its size to the bare necessities. The interest is to avoid the superfluous volume of a conventional orthopedic insole while allowing to position the element optimally. Indeed, any increase in the tightening in a shoe results in a loss of effectiveness of the elements of orthopedic insoles.
This element will be flat above and below and with laterally inclined edges. Its shape will follow the outline of the head of the 1st metatarsal, projecting slightly forward and backward. Its size may vary to suit the sizes. Its thickness can vary between 0.5mm and 4mm. Its hardness must be equal to or greater than shore 25. To this shim may be added a cushioning surface under the other metatarsal heads and / or a retro capital support or a capital retro bar, to improve efficiency, if the footwear volume allows it. The damping surface will have a thickness of between 0.5 and 4 mm and a shore hardness equal to or greater than 5.
In the case of metatarsalgia of the 1st metatarsal, or Egyptian foot, a wedge (4), traditionally called "sub capital support", will be placed under the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th metatarsal heads to give them more support. This element will be flat above and below and with laterally inclined edges. Its thickness can vary between 0.5mm and 4mm. Its hardness must be equal to or greater than shore 10. To this shim can be added, if the footwear volume is sufficient, a cushioning surface under the metatarsal head and / or a capital retro bar behind all the metatarsal heads.
The present invention is also characterized by the fact of being able, possibly, to modify the thickness, and therefore its action, through the use of removable shims glued below.
Finally, these elements may be delivered with a plan to facilitate positioning in the shoe and or a removable template (Fig. 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28) having the shape of a shoe insole cut according to the outline of the element to indicate the location.

With reference to these drawings, one of the devices (8), illustrated in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, consists of an element (1) placed under the first metatarsal head. This element acts to increase the support under this head. This increase of support is indicated in the case where the 1st metatarsal is shorter than the 2nd like in a foot of Greek type for example. By adding a wedge under the first metatarsal head, the difference in length between the 1st and 2nd head is compensated, especially in the digitigrade phase of the step or in the plantigrade phase when the shoes have a high heel. This wedge will have an oval shape. Its inner limit will follow the outline of the shoe. Its outer limit will be between the 1st and the 2nd metatarsal head. Said shim will be of quasi-hemispherical shape in its anterior part. Its posterior part will merge with a second element (2), called retro capital support. This retro capital support has for action to support the 2nd, 3rd and 4th metatarsal heads by taking support just behind them. This element will have an ovoid shape, viewed from above, with a plane wing profile. Front view it will be convex upwards. Its thickness will be less than or equal to 8mm in its thickest part. Its shore hardness will be equal to or greater than 10. The 2 elements will be fixed to each other to form the element (8). A system of removable wedges fig.29 (7) can be installed under the elements to vary the thickness and therefore the action. Finally this element thus formed will be fixed in the shoe through the use of a non-permanent glue or repositionable.
