Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de détermination de l'état de rotation d'un arbre à cames d'un moteur de véhicule, remarquable en ce que ledit procédé de détermination de l'état de rotation de l'arbre à cames détermine que l'état de rotation de l'arbre à cames est « en train de caler », correspondant à un état de rotation intermédiaire, lorsque la durée écoulée depuis la dernière détection d'un front de dent de la roue d'arbre à cames par le capteur devient supérieure à Tcam_cal, Tcam_cal étant définie comme la durée théorique nécessaire pour que la roue d'arbre à cames parcourt une distance angulaire égale à la distance angulaire maximale séparant deux fronts de dents successifs de la roue d'arbre à cames à une vitesse de rotation de l'arbre à cames correspondant à un régime moteur bas prédéterminé, supérieur au régime moteur minimal supporté par ledit moteur.
