Description
The present invention relates to a wine aeration accessory. It is well known that a wine, especially a red wine, must be aired before tasting to release all the aromas it contains. For this purpose, it is known to use a wine aeration accessory comprising a body which internally delimits a wine receiving cavity and which comprises a lower wine flow line and at least one aeration duct opening into this flow duct, perpendicular to the latter, this aeration duct for aeration of the wine by Venturi effect. Such an accessory has the disadvantage of not allowing a ventilation of the wine 10 perfectly effective. The present invention aims to overcome this essential disadvantage. The accessory concerned comprises, in a manner known per se, a body internally delimiting a wine receiving cavity and comprising a lower wine flow duct and at least one aeration duct opening into this flow duct. aeration duct allowing a ventilation of the wine by Venturi effect. According to the invention, the accessory further comprises a tubular wine flow stud delimiting a central wine flow duct and comprising at least one helical groove arranged through its wall, opening into this central duct; This pad is, when using the accessory, located in said cavity and its central duct connected to said lower conduit of the wine flow. In practice, the accessory is placed on a glass, a carafe or other suitable container, then wine is poured into said cavity. The wine flows by gravity into the helical groove or grooves of the stud then into the central conduit of this stud, into said lower flow conduit and finally into the glass, carafe or other container. The passage of the wine through the plot allows for a first aeration in wine and especially to give this wine a swirling flow, that the wine retains during its passage through the lower duct; this vortex flow maximizes ventilation by Venturi effect occurring in this lower duct. Preferably, said cavity has a shape of revolution and said stud is located in the axis of this cavity, as well as lower conduit of the wine flow. Preferably, said body has a conically shaped bottom wall, the tip of which is turned on the opposite side to said cavity and is connected to said lower flow duct, and whose slope is between 30 and 60 °, and is preferably of the order of 45 to 50; inside or along this bottom wall are arranged several of said air ducts. The plurality of ventilation ducts and the inclination of these ducts maximizes the Venturi effect, and therefore the aeration of the wine. In the cavity, the conical shape 10 of the bottom wall promotes the flow of the wine through the pad, and thus allows an acceleration of the swirling motion, for an even greater aeration effect. Preferably, the ventilation ducts are regularly distributed around the periphery of said bottom wall. The body may include three ventilation ducts. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the body has a lateral wall delimiting said cavity, having a curved shape and being narrowed at a median portion of this wall. This form is favorable to the operation of the accessory. It also makes it possible to give the accessory an external form in amphora, visually attractive. The tubular flow stud may comprise a single helical groove, conferring on it the shape of a twist. It may also have the shape of a cylinder in which is arranged a plurality of helical grooves, located in a helical continuity of each other. This second embodiment of the stud is easier to mold than the first embodiment mentioned. The lower flow duct advantageously has a substantially conical shape, having a cross section increasing as it moves away from said cavity. This conical shape helps to achieve a perfect aeration of the wine. 3036295 3 The stud could be attached to the body. Preferably, however, this stud is a separate part of the body and has a tip adapted to be inserted into a receiving housing arranged in the body. This two-piece structure facilitates the manufacture of the accessory and the cleaning thereof. Said end and said receiving housing are preferably dimensioned such that the endpiece is adapted to be engaged in the housing with friction, thereby achieving easy assembly of the stud to the body. The body may advantageously have a plurality of lateral handles 10 facilitating its capture. These handles also contribute to give the accessory the presentation of a small amphora. The invention will be better understood with reference to the appended schematic drawing, which shows, by way of example embodiment, a preferred embodiment of the accessory concerned. Among the figures of this drawing: - Figure 1 is a side view of this accessory; - Figure 2 is a sectional view, with disassembly of a flow pad that includes this accessory, the pad being according to a first embodiment; FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2, with mounting of the stud in a body that this accessory comprises; and - Figure 4 is a perspective view of another wine flow pad, according to a second embodiment. Figures 1 to 3 show an accessory 1 of wine aeration, comprising a body 2 and a tubular stud 3 of wine flow. The body 2 comprises a side wall 5, a bottom wall 6 and a lower wine flow line 7. The side wall 5 has a curved shape and is narrowed at a median portion 5a of this wall, in the direction of the height of the accessory 1, that is to say in the direction of the flow of the wine through this accessory. It defines, with the bottom wall 6, a cavity 8 for receiving the wine, having a form of revolution. The bottom wall 6 is of conical shape, having its tip turned away from the cavity 8 and having a slope of the order of 45 to 50 °. It forms, inside the cavity 8, a conical surface centered on the axis of revolution of this cavity. In its center, the bottom wall 6 forms a housing 10 connecting the pad 3, which communicates with the lower conduit 7 of wine flow, located below this housing. Inside the bottom wall 6 are arranged three ventilation ducts 11 opening, on the one hand, in the lower part of the connection housing 10, and, on the other hand, on the outside of the body 2 These ventilation ducts 11 make it possible to aerate the wine by the Venturi effect.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the ventilation ducts 11 open at the base of three gripping handles 15 which also comprises the body 2. On the outside of the body 2, the bottom wall 6 forms a conical surface allowing the support of the accessory against the edge of a glass, or on the neck of a carafe. The lower flow conduit 7 has a substantially conical shape, having a cross-section increasing on the opposite side to the cavity 8, thus towards the lower opening of this conduit. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the tubular wine flow stud 3 has a single helical groove 20 connecting its outer surface to the central duct 21 which it comprises, this groove 20 and this duct 21. 20 conferring on this stud 3 in the form of a tendril. At its lower end, the stud 3 has a tubular axial endpiece 22, whose outer shape is dimensioned so that this tip 22 is adapted to be inserted removably into the connection housing 10 with slight friction. The stud 3 can thus be removed from the body 2 (FIG. 2) or mounted on this body 25 2 (FIG. 3) by removing or inserting the endpiece 22 into the housing 10. In practice, the accessory 1 is placed on a glass, carafe or other suitable container, then wine is poured into the cavity 8 that it forms. The wine flows by gravity into the helical groove 20 and into the conduit 21 of the pad 3, then into the conduit 7 and finally into the glass, carafe or other container. The passage of the wine through the stud 3 30 makes it possible to carry out a first aeration with wine and especially to give this wine a swirling flow, which the wine retains during its passage through the conduit 7; this vortex flow maximizes the suction of air through the ventilation ducts 11 by Venturi effect, and therefore the aeration of the wine. The shape of the walls 5 and 6, the inclination of the ducts 11 and the conicity of the duct 7, 5 reinforce this aeration effect. Referring to Figure 4, it appears that the pad 3 may also have the shape of a cylinder in which is arranged a plurality of helical grooves 20, located in a helical continuity of each other. This second embodiment of the stud 3 is easier to mold than the first embodiment mentioned.
It thus appears that the invention provides a wine aeration accessory 1 having the decisive advantage of allowing a perfectly efficient aeration of the wine.
