Ce réacteur nucléaire à eau pressurisée comportant un cœur comprenant un assemblage de combustible nucléaire intégrant des crayons (3) contenant du poison consommable permettant de réduire la variation de réactivité du cœur au cours d'un cycle de fonctionnement, caractérisé en ce que les crayons (3) contenant du poison consommable sont agencés de façon mixte et comprennent des crayons collés les uns aux autres en blocs et des crayons isolés les uns des autres, répartis dans l'assemblage.
