Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing an athlete to increase the grip of the ball during a range and limit the possibility of losing the ball during a plating phase that can tilt a meeting. It consists of a shirt consisting of double tabs arranged on the forearms, biceps and chest of the athlete. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the practice of American football and rugby.

Description

The present invention relates to a device placed on a undershirt to reduce the risk of loss of ball in a practice of football and rugby. The jersey conforming to the athlete's body is composed of double tabs placed on the athlete's forearms, biceps and chest. The device is a set of foam tabs with a rubber coating. In rugby and football, the ball's reach is achieved by squeezing the ball between the athlete's arm and chest, which can be represented by 4 points of contact (hand, forearm, biceps and chest). The outcome of a match is often determined by the number of ball losses committed by a team as this leads to a change of possession of the ball. The more a team loses the ball the less it is able to score. The device according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage. It comprises in fact according to a first feature, tabs which are positioned on each of its points of contact mentioned above, outside the hand which is brought to capture the ball during a pass. As far as American football is concerned, there will be no point in putting tabs on the chest as the athlete is wearing a protective shoulder pad. Positioned thus the tabs promote, apart from the pressure exerted by the player, the immobilization of the ball that will be placed between each double tabs. According to a second characteristic, the rubber coating of the tongues makes it possible to increase the grip of the ball on a specific surface of the undershirt and to limit the risk of the balloon escaping on a contact phase or when the ball is slippery. According to a last characteristic, the foam structure of the tongues makes it possible to absorb a portion of the shocks during the contact phases, which makes it possible to maintain the pressure exerted on the balloon during the range. According to particular embodiments: 25- the double tabs are placed on the forearms, biceps and chest of the undershirt. For American football, wearing a shoulder pad will prevent the positioning of tabs on the chest. CLAIMS1) Device for limiting the risk of loss of ball during an American football and rugby practice characterized in that it comprises a body suit consisting of double tabs arranged on the forearms, biceps and chest of the athlete, the ball being placed between the double tongues will be less conducive to being dislodged from its position during a ball scope. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the double tongues consist of a foam for absorbing part of the shocks during an impact phase. 3) Device according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that the double tongues comprise a rubber coating to increase the grip of the ball on the undershirt reducing the risk of slippage.
