Abstract
Description
OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a frame for mounting a smoke evacuation flap. State of the art Smoke extraction aeraulic installations generally consist of air ducts which are arranged in traffic zones, this for the purpose, during a fire, of securing the evacuation of persons by sucking the smoke towards the outside. To do this, these ducts are equipped with one or more flaps which, in the open position allow smoke suction and in the closed position prevent heat loss. Fixing this or these shutters is usually performed through a frame that is positioned between the flap frame and the air duct. It is known from the art that the mounting of a shutter in an air-smoke extraction installation is generally made from a rectangular L-section frame which is placed between the frame of the shutter and the periphery of an opening opening into the air duct. EP 2,537,563 discloses a smoke ventilation system comprising a double panel flap, in particular a refractory panel resistant to high temperatures and a finishing panel to be positioned in the wall flush with the surface of the wall in which the opening opening into the air duct is provided. The frame of this known aeraulic installation comprises four generally T-shaped profiles, with a first part - intended to be inserted into a ventilation duct - and a second part intended to be applied against the wall in which the air duct is formed. Such a profile is generally made of aluminum that withstands high temperatures. A disadvantage of a frame comprising profiles as described above is that in the case where the smoke is sucked into the smoke exhaust duct and the smoke evacuation flap remains in the closed position to prevent smoke from being dispersed in a chamber or on a floor where the shutter is installed, the frame heats up to temperatures where a person who touches the frame can get burned. For this reason it is clear that there is still a demand for improved smoke extraction facilities.
OF THE INVENTION In order to provide an aesthetic aeraulic installation and offering improved safety compared with known frames, the present invention relates to a frame for mounting a shutter in an air-smoke extraction installation 5, the frame comprising at least one profile with a distal portion and a proximal portion, the distal portion adapted to be inserted into an opening opening into a ventilation duct, characterized in that the proximal portion of the profile or profiles comprise a plaster receiving surface, this surface having been intended to be positioned as flush with the surface of a wall in which said opening is provided. Preferably the proximal portion of the frame has a diameter smaller than the diameter of said opening. Preferably the proximal portion of the profile or profiles comprises a reference edge for the application of plaster on said surface. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention the distal portion of the profile or profiles comprises means for receiving a refractory material panel which extends longitudinally in said opening. The aforementioned section or profiles are preferably made of material resistant to temperatures up to at least 600 ° C such as aluminum. The invention also relates to an air-smoke extraction installation comprising a frame as identified above. The air-smoke extraction installation preferably includes a flap of the type comprising at least two panels, in particular a refractory panel distal in said opening and a finishing panel in the proximal position intended to extend on the flat surface of the wall in which said opening is provided. Drawings Figure 1 shows a cross section of a section of a ventilation system according to the invention. DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION FIG. 1 represents an installation comprising a smoke extraction duct equipped with a frame 1 according to the invention. This frame 1 is used for mounting a shutter 2 in an opening of a ventilation duct 3, formed in a wall 4. This frame 1 of generally rectangular shape, assembled by four sections 5 of material resistant to temperatures ranging from up to at least 600 ° C like metal, especially aluminum. In this case, each profile 5 has a distal portion 5a intended to be inserted into the aforementioned opening and a proximal portion 5b.
The distal portion 5a comprises a housing adapted to receive a panel of refractory material 6. The proximal portion 5b comprises a rough surface 7, which in an installed state of the frame extends on the flat surface of the wall in which said opening is provided. Preferably, this surface is bounded by an edge 8 delimiting the internal opening of the frame, which defines the reference for the application of plaster on the rough surface and the wall. The frame is preferably fixed to the wall by means of a counter frame 9 defining the opening in the wall. The connection between this counterframe 9 and the frame can be accomplished by a method well known in the art. The shutter 2 is a shutter of the type comprising at least two panels, a first panel of refractory material located at the distal face of the flap, that is to say at the side facing the smoke extraction duct, and a second plasterboard or other finishing material for extending on the flat surface 15 of said wall. An example of such a component 2 is described in EP2,537,563. The shutter 2 is mounted in the frame in a manner well known in the art, for example by hinges attached to the frame or refractory panel mounted on the distal portion of the frame and extending longitudinally in the opening in the Wall.
An advantage of a frame according to the invention for mounting a smoke extraction flap is that, since the visible part of the frame in the installed state is practically entirely covered by plaster, the risk of direct contact with the frame is minimized. . In addition, the plaster is known to have a large capacity to evacuate the heat resulting in a slow heating of the frame 25 compared to known frames.
