Description

The present invention relates to a tray for containing food products, and a method of manufacturing such a tray. There are currently trays that are intended to contain food products. Such a tray comprises a first portion molded polystyrene in the form of a bowl and a blotter placed in the first part to absorb exudates from the food product. Such a tray is not entirely satisfactory, particularly from the point of view of sealing and biodegradability. An object of the present invention is to provide a tray for containing food products and which does not have the disadvantages of the prior art. For this purpose, there is provided a tray comprising: - a lower part forming a bowl, - a plastic film glued on the lower part, - an absorbent layer disposed on said plastic film, and - an upper part pierced with through holes and forming a bowl. lodging and sticking in the lower part above the absorbing layer. Advantageously, the lower part and the upper part are made of plant fibers.

Advantageously, the vegetable fibers consist of bagasse of sugar cane. Advantageously, the plastic film is made of oxo-biodegradable polyethylene. The invention also proposes a method of manufacturing a tray 25 comprising: a step of molding an upper part; a step of molding a lower part; a step of rolling and bonding a film. plastic on the lower part thus molded, - a step of positioning an absorbent layer on the plastic film thus laminated and glued, and - a step of positioning and gluing of the upper part in the lower part.

The characteristics of the invention mentioned above, as well as others, will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment, said description being made in connection with the attached drawings, among which: FIG. . 1 shows, in partial section, a tray according to the invention, and FIG. 2 is a section of a tray according to a first embodiment of the invention. Fig. 1 shows a tray 100 which is intended to contain food products.

The tray 100 comprises an upper part 102, a lower part 104, an absorbent layer 106 of the blotter type and a plastic film 108. The upper part 102 and the lower part 104 form cups which are superposed, the upper part 102 coming to be housed and sticking in the lower portion 104 and being intended to receive the food product.

The upper portion 102 has through holes 110 to allow the exudates of the food product to evacuate under the upper portion 102. The upper portion 102 and the lower portion 104 are made of vegetable fibers, and more particularly bagasse of sugarcane . The plastic film 108 seals and is more particularly of the biodegradable type, it is made for example of oxo-biodegradable polyethylene. Between the upper portion 102 and the lower portion 104 is disposed the absorbent layer 106 which is provided to absorb the exudates. The absorbent layer 106 is also biodegradable and preferably made of cellulose.

The biodegradable plastic film 108 is laminated and adhered to the lower portion 104. The absorbent layer 106 is then between the biodegradable plastic film 108 and the upper portion 102. The manufacturing process of the container 100 then consists in the steps of: - molding the upper part 102, - molding the lower part 104, - rolling and gluing the biodegradable plastic film 108 on the lower part 104 thus molded, - positioning the layer absorbent 106 on the biodegradable plastic film 108 thus laminated and glued, and - positioning and gluing of the upper portion 102 in the lower portion 104 above the absorbent layer 106.

The upper portion 102 and the lower portion 104 are bonded around the absorbent layer 106. When a food product is placed on the upper portion 102, the exudates flow through the through holes 110, and are absorbed by the absorbent layer 106. The biodegradable plastic film 108 makes it possible to seal the tray 100. Of course, the present invention is not limited to the examples and embodiments described and shown, but it is capable of many variants accessible to those skilled in the art.
