Abstract
Description
The classical technique of the "post-beam" timber construction system brings an interesting aesthetic to buildings but abandons the notion of thermal bridge and that of airtightness when installing joinery or glazing. The developed system consists in considering three parameters: - to preserve the aesthetics of the post-beam with the visible structure inside and outside the built volume; - manage the thermal bridge; - provide a technical solution to ensure the continuity of airtightness. The recommended solution is the creation of a conventional post-beam structure, but the position and size of the posts allow to receive a carpentry (fixed or opening) plated on or behind the pole. A false pole takes position at the back, in line with the first. This constructive principle can be made to choose from inside or from outside. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 shows a schematic horizontal section of this system in the case of a joinery and a solid panel fixed on either side of a pole. It shows the position of each of the elements described below: the carrier pole (1), the false post (2), the carpentry (3), the wood-frame insulated panel (4), the watertight seal (5), the finishing panel (6), the insulating component (7), the clamping system (8) and the sealing film (9).
Figure 3 shows a vertical section on the lintel and the manner in which a sunshade sits without annoying the insulation and sealing. It shows the position of each of the elements described above and complementary elements below: the sunshade, said BSO (10), the lintel (11) and the low sole (12). The first step consists of a conventional post-beam system. It is during the installation of the carpentry (3) that the system reveals its interest: At implementation, the veneer joinery (3) against the structure crushes a seal (5) and is fixed directly on the supporting structure (1). The operation is renewed on the neighboring joineries. The gap between the two joineries receives the sealing film (9) acting as airtightness and a filling by thermal insulation (7).
A false post (2) of the same width as the first (1) to be pressed on the joinery (3) to bring the aesthetic continuity of the post beam principle. It is the same on the lintel (11) and the low sole (12). This constructive system allows, in particular, the realization of wood houses with broad glazed facades while responding to various thermal standards.
Thus, it can accept an increase in the thickness of woodwork (3) (example: with triple glazing) thus accompanied by a thicker insulation (7) greater.
