The present invention relates to a running stick or hiking. Known from the state of the art is a pedestrian running stick (also called a "trail" stick) comprising a tubular body equipped with a handle and a strap at its upper end, and a point at its end. lower end. A disadvantage of such a type of stick is that during a race or a steady march, the tip of the stick can get caught between two rocks, or between two roots, by accident. The user, unbalanced, is driven by his own weight and exerts a bending effort on the stick. Thus, the stick can break, and cause the fall of the user. The invention aims to remedy this drawback. The invention relates to a running stick or hiking, characterized in that it comprises: - at least a first and a second tubular sections; and at least one sleeve comprising: a first end portion, forming a first endpiece, assembled at the first section; a second end portion, forming a second end piece, assembled at the second section; and an intermediate portion connecting the first and second end portions; the intermediate portion being made of an elastically deformable material, and being dimensioned to elastically deform in response to a bending force of a value greater than or equal to a predetermined value exerted between the first and second sections. The stick according to the invention is advantageous in that the intermediate portion is shaped to deform elastically when the tip of the stick is wedged between two rocks, or between two roots, by accident, and the user is unbalanced. Under these conditions, the first and second sections form a non-zero angle. The breaking of the stick is then avoided. When the user regains his balance and any bending force ceases to be exerted on the first and second sections, the intermediate portion returns to its original shape and the first and second sections 35 return in the extension of one another .
Preferably, the predetermined bending value is equal to 15 daN. For example, the intermediate portion of the sleeve is dimensioned so that when the bending force exerted between the first and second sections has a value of the order of 25 daN, the angle formed by the first and second sections is of the order of 200. The stick according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following features. Advantageously, the first and second end portions and the intermediate portion of the sleeve are molded, and are made of a same elastically deformable material. Thus, the manufacture and recycling of the sleeve are facilitated. In addition, in case of wear or rupture, the replacement of the sleeve is simplified. According to one characteristic, the elastically deformable material has a Shore hardness greater than 80 ShA, and preferably greater than 95 ShA. According to another characteristic, the elastically deformable material is polyamide (PA) or polyoxymethylene (POM). In a first embodiment, the first and second end portions of the sleeve are tubular and are shaped to be fitted on the first and second sections. In a second embodiment, the first and second end portions of the sleeve are tubular and are shaped to be fitted in the first and second sections. Advantageously, the intermediate portion has a general hourglass shape. The intermediate portion then has a narrowing at its center guiding the elastic deformation during the exercise of the bending force. According to one characteristic, the width of the sections at the center of the hourglass is between 0.5 and 0.8 times the width of the sections at the ends of the hourglass. Advantageously, all the sections forming the hourglass are circular. Under these conditions, the intermediate portion may deform elastically in all directions of a plane transverse to the axis of the stick and passing through the center of the hourglass, and not only in preferred directions. The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawings showing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of a stick according to the invention. Figure 1 is a front view; Figure 2 is a front view in response to the exercise of a bending effort; Figure 3 is a front view of a sleeve fitted to the stick of Figures 1 and 2; Figure 4 is a longitudinal sectional view of the sleeve of Figure 3. Figures 1 and 2 show a walking stick 2. This stick 2 comprises sections 4 and 6 tubular. The sections 4 and 6 are preferably made of carbon. The sections 4 and 6 have distal ends, respectively, 4a and 6a, and proximal ends 4b and 6b. The distal end 4a is equipped with a grip 8 of an adherent material and a strap 10. The distal end 6a is equipped with a tip 12. The stick 2 has a sleeve 14 (best shown in FIG. and 4) comprising: - an end portion 14a forming a tip, assembled at the proximal end 4b of the section 4; - An end portion 14b forming a tip, assembled at the proximal end 6b of the section 6; and an intermediate portion 14c connecting the end portions 14a and 14b. The end portions 14a, 14b and the intermediate portion 14c of the sleeve 14 are molded and are made of a same elastically deformable material. The elastically deformable material has a shore hardness greater than 95 ShA. For example, this elastically deformable material is polyamide (PA). The end portions 14a and 14b are tubular and are shaped to be fitted on the proximal ends, respectively, 4b, 6b of the sections 4 and 6.
The intermediate portion 14c is sized to: - retain its shape (as shown in Figure 1) when no bending force is exerted between the sections 4 and 6, or when a bending force exerted between sections 4 and 4 6 less than a predetermined value; and - to deform elastically (as shown in Figure 2) in response to a bending force exerted between sections 4 and 6 of a value greater than or equal to the predetermined value. For this purpose, the intermediate portion 14c has a general hourglass shape. The set of sections constituting this hourglass is circular. The width L1 of the sections in the center of the hourglass is between 0.5 and 0.8 times the width L2 of the sections at the ends of the hourglass. In use condition, when the tip 12 of the stick 2 is wedged between two rocks, or between two roots, by accident, and the user exerts a bending force greater than the predetermined value on the sections 4 and 6, the intermediate portion 14c of the sleeve 14 is deformed elastically to prevent it from breaking and then resumes its initial shape. As is obvious, the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of the stick described above by way of example, it encompasses all the variants of embodiment. In a variant, the stick may comprise more than two tubular sections.
