Description
The present invention relates to a device for moving and continuously feeding standard gas cylinders, in particular propane or domestic butane, towards a gas filling machine, in particular a filling carousel belonging to the latter. Currently, to fill the chain of standardized gas cylinders, including propane or butane domestic bottles are guided and circulate behind each other on an endless treadmill before being pushed to a machine of filling, for example provided with a carousel. Increasing needs require ever higher production rates (2400 bottles / hour and more than 3000 required) to fill more and more bottles per machine / plant. Now, the current devices operate using linear push-type cylinder pushing the bottles one after the other. The main disadvantage of this type of means is that the exit and entry time of the cylinder rods is incompressible, which generates a natural mechanical limitation that it is reasonably impossible to exceed. To this purely technical disadvantage are added the constraints of noise, energy expended and the design of current systems. Thus, the solutions of the prior art are not entirely satisfactory from a technical point of view and do not achieve the rates currently imposed by the industry.
An object of the present invention is therefore to solve the problems mentioned above, using a simple design solution (few pieces), reliable, efficient, compact, silent, flexible and can operate continuously. Thus, the present invention relates to a device for moving and continuously supplying domestic gas bottles, in particular propane or butane, to a filling machine, in particular a carousel for transporting the latter, comprising: - a transfer belt having an upper surface 35 adapted for gas bottles to rest vertically in Indian file, and - pushing means for pushing said bottles sequentially one after the other along of said belt in a determined direction of travel directed towards the filling machine, characterized in that the moving means comprise at least one endless rotary transport system arranged substantially parallel to the upper surface of the transfer belt, along a edge of the latter, and provided locally with at least one pushing means intended to bear against the body of each bottle in order to transport by acceleration to said filling machine. According to preferred embodiments, the device according to the present invention comprises at least one of the following characteristics: the endless rotary transport system comprises at least one chain tensioned on drive and axis tension elements perpendicular to the surface of the transfer belt and rotating continuously or stepwise; each thrust means is constituted by a cleat erected perpendicular to the chain and substantially parallel to the transfer belt; the drive and tension elements comprise gear wheels connected to an engine; the device comprises two endless chains disposed on either side of the transfer conveyor, the chains being tensioned between at least two toothed wheels in order to locally define two rectilinear portions parallel to each other and to the transfer belt, said portions being spaced apart each other a distance such that each gas cylinder to be filled can circulate freely between said chains while being driven by the thrust means; each chain comprises a plurality of identical cleats spaced along the latter; the chains are synchronized with one another so that when the stops pass over the conveyor belt, the latter face each other and are aligned, with a determined space between them of a few millimeters to a few centimeters, to come simultaneously contact with the body of each bottle to push it towards the filling machine; - The device is further provided with a bottle blocking member disposed upstream of the displacement means for defining the arrival rate of said bottles and prevent multiple bottles are driven simultaneously by the moving means; and the locking means comprises a retractable rod protruding, in an advanced position, above the transfer belt and has a length adapted to block a bottle abutting against it. The present invention also relates to a continuous filling machine for domestic gas bottles, for example propane or butane, comprising in particular a rotary filling carousel and a device as described above to move and bring bottles continuously. on said carousel by acceleration. Advantageously, the feed and displacement device is placed in a direction perpendicular to a tangent of the carousel, laterally and in the same plane as this one, or at an angle of 0 ° to ± 45 ° relative to this direction. direction. The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to particular embodiments given by way of illustration only and shown in the accompanying figures in which: - Figure 1 is a top view of a device according to the present invention disposed near a carousel of a filling machine; Figure 2 is a detail view of a portion of the device of Figure 1; FIG. 3 is a view from above of an alternative embodiment of FIG. 1; FIG. 1 shows a device 10 for moving and continuously supplying domestic gas cylinders 1 intended to contain, for example, propane or butane, in the direction of a carousel 2 of a type filling machine. known (not shown). In this invention, the carousel 2 rotates in the clockwise direction along the arrow F1 while the device 10 and intended to bring the bottles 1 one after the other in cells 3 of the carousel 2 in a perpendicular N direction (or centripetal) to said carousel 2. It follows from these very different movements that a very precise adjustment must be made between the device 10 and the carousel 2 (relative positions, relative speeds, waiting time, cadence) so that each bottle 1 is brought to the right moment in the cell 3 corresponding and rotated by the carousel 2 to fill it so as to achieve the desired flow of about 3000 bottles / hour or more, or about a bottle every 1, 2 seconds. This is the purpose of the device 10 according to the present invention. For this purpose, the device 10 comprises in particular at least one transfer belt 11 having an upper surface 12 adapted for the empty gas bottles 1 to rest vertically in Indian file, as well as means 20 for pushing said bottles 1 sequentially. one after the other to the carousel 2 along said belt 11 in the direction of displacement N. More precisely, the displacement means 20 comprise two endless rotary transport systems 21 arranged substantially parallel to the upper surface 12 of the 11, along the edges 13 of the latter, and each provided locally with at least one thrust means 22 for bearing against the body of each bottle 1 for transport by acceleration to the carousel 2 of the filling machine. As can be seen in particular in FIGS. 1 and 2, each rotary transport system 21 comprises a chain 23 stretched over elements 24 for driving and tensioning axes perpendicular to the surface 12 of the belt 11, such as wheels 35. toothed. Each chain 23 is connected to a drive motor (not shown) for its rotation in continuous or in step mode. Each thrust means 22 is constituted by a rigid cleat 25 integral with its associated chain 23 and erected externally perpendicular to the latter. In the embodiment shown, each drive chain 23 is provided with four evenly spaced tabs 25 each having a length such that when the tabs 25 of the two chains 23 are pairwise facing above the conveyor belt 11 , as illustrated in Figure 1, there is a space 27 between them so that they never touch. It will also be noted for this purpose that the two chains 23 and the drive and tension gears 24 define two parallel portions 23a spaced from one another by a distance E such that each gas cylinder 1 can circulate. freely between said chains 23 while being driven by the thrust means 22 towards the carousel 2. In other words, the spacing distance E is greater than the diameter D of the body of the bottles 1. The chains 23 are synchronized with each other so that the tabs 25 of the two chains rotate at the same speed to be placed sequentially opposite each other in pairs to push each new gas cylinder 1 to fill towards the carousel 2. The device 10 is further provided a bottle blocking member 26 disposed upstream of the displacement means 20 for setting the rate of arrival of said bottles 1 and preventing several bottles 1 from being They are driven simultaneously by the catches 25 or the latter abut against a bottle 1 which is incorrectly positioned on the mat 11. It will be noted that the blocking member 26, for example an articulated rod passing from a locking position to a position retracted, is also synchronized with the rotational speed of the carousel 2. The operation of the device 10 according to the present invention is as follows. Empty bottles 1 to be filled with domestic gas (propane or butane for example) are arranged in single file and in a vertical position on the upper surface 12 of the conveyor belt 11, a first portion 12a of which is movable (for example a chain conveyor or band) while the terminal portion 12b is fixed (for example consisting of a simple flat metal plate).
The first bottle 1 of the line is driven by the movable surface 12a before being stopped by the locking member 26 which stands in the direction of the upper surface 12 of the conveyor belt 11 so that said bottle 1 abuts on it . When it is decided, by synchronization, that the locked bottle 1 must be moved towards the end portion 12b of the belt to be accelerated for its feeding on the carousel 2, the locking member 26 is then retracted (by pivoting up or to the side for example). The bottle 1 thus advances on the belt 11 (more precisely on the movable portion 12a) to a position where the stops 25 of the chains 23 pass behind said bottle and push it synchronously towards a cell 3 of the rotary carousel which is then in front of the device 10. The two catches 25 bear support on the body of the bottle 1, substantially halfway up, and slide the bottle on the fixed portion 12b of the mat 11. The bottle 1 approach of the end of the belt 11, and therefore the carousel 2, plus it is accelerated. Indeed, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the stops 25 move from a purely linear speed V1 along the zones 23a at a tangential speed V2 to the approach of the toothed wheel 24a, which generates an increase in the acceleration around the carousel 2. This increase in the speed of the cleats 25, due to their pivoting around one of the toothed wheels 24a, combined with the synchronization of the belt 11, the locking member 26 and the Rotation of the carousel 2, significantly improves the filling rate of the bottles on the machine, for example from 2400 bottles / hour to 3000 bottles / hour. This also results in the increase of the carousel speed 2 compared to the solutions of the prior art to maintain the desired rate.
Moreover, the fact that the transport speed of the bottles 1 on the immobile portion 12a of the conveyor belt 11 is less than the speed of the cleats makes it possible to break up a continuous line of bottles that are almost glued to each other in a discontinuous stream of bottles. to fill, each being separated from the previous one by an identical and regular interval. Finally, the peripheral speed of carousel 2 being larger, the time available to admit each bottle 1 is reduced. However, the intake remains adjustable in speed to accommodate any carousel speed and therefore theoretically any rate (within the maximum limits technically possible). This variation in speed is made possible by a flow limiter of known type (not shown) which more or less restricts the flow of oil intended for motors driving chains 23 with cleats 25 or mechanics by a reducer which allows direct synchronization the speed of rotation of the carousel 2 to that of the intake. In short, the speed can be managed automatically according to the rate of production of the carousel.
While a bottle 1 is pushed by the catches 25 in the direction of the carousel 2, the locking member 26 becomes active again and blocks the row of subsequent bottles until the bottle being transferred arrives on the carousel 2. A synchronization top is then sent to the locking member 26 which retracts to let a new bottle 1, then returns to its blocking position and so on, bottles after bottles, depending on the filling rate chosen. One of the many advantages of this solution, apart from the significant increase in the rate and its automatic management, is that the power required for conveying the bottles is reduced, as is the noise. All efforts and shocks on all components are also limited. According to an alternative embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the device 10 is no longer perpendicular to the tangent to the carousel 2 (that is to say oriented centripetally), but it forms an angle a which can vary typically from 0 ° to ± 45 ° with respect to this centripetal direction. This in particular makes it possible to further increase the admission speed by propelling the bottles in the direction of rotation of the carousel 2. It goes without saying that the detailed description of the subject of the invention, given purely by way of illustration. is in no way a limitation, the technical equivalents also being within the scope of the present invention.
Les chaînes peuvent être remplacées par des courroies d'entraînement Thus, the number of cleats can be greater or less than 4 depending on the length of the chains and the desired rate. The locking member may be of another type and be positioned at other locations of the device. The cleats may be replaced by any other push means that may be associated with an endless chain driven around gears, or a belt. Chains can be replaced by drive belts
