Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a mounting tool for positioning a washer on a bearing surface, this support surface. being located in an area inaccessible to a room. It can be applied, by way of non-limiting example of the object and scope of the present invention, to the installation of a bearing washer of assembly screws in a countersink of a cylinder head vehicle engine. By "countersink" is meant, in the following text, a housing or a small cylindrical bore, generally machined at the orifice of a hole and intended to serve as a bearing surface of a washer or to drown a screw head element with hexagon socket. The establishment of a washer in an inaccessible and not very visible area of a room poses quality problems, especially if the defective positioning of the washer is not detected, if there are two washers superimposed instead of one, or if the washer is lost in the room. The probability of such defects is increased in case of manual mounting of the washers. In the particular case mentioned above of a vehicle engine cylinder head, the assembly of the cylinder head on the cylinder block is achieved by screws through the cylinder head and support rings placed under the heads of the screws. in counterbores arranged in the cylinder head around the screw holes.
For some cylinder architecture, especially when it is engine cylinder heads in which the valves are controlled by pushers, the establishment of the support washers is difficult, if not impossible, for reasons of accessibility to counterbenders receipt of the washers. To solve this problem of setting up the support washers, various solutions have been proposed. Thus, by way of example, the document FR 2 957 546 describes a method of setting up an assembly screw support washer in a housing arranged in an engine cylinder head, which comprises the steps following: - the cylinder head is equipped with at least one guide rail, made of foundry with the cylinder head, which opens into the housing, - the washer is deposited on the guide rail, - the washer is put in place by sliding the along the guide ramp until the washer is received in the housing, the sliding being carried out by gravity or by means of a tool. In the cylinder head, a stop, made of foundry with the cylinder head or reported on the latter, is arranged at the edge of the housing, facing the guide ramp. mos] It will be noted that, in the implementation of this method known from the prior art, the relatively complex shaped arrangements, foundry or reported, created specifically to guide the washer to its housing, have the disadvantage of weigh down the cylinder head and be uneconomical. The object of the present invention is to provide a new mounting tool, improved over the tools and mounting methods of the prior art, the purpose of which is to position a washer on a surface located in a small area. accessible in one piece, in particular but not exclusively to position a support washer of a bolt assembly screw in its countersink when the latter is difficult to access and not very visible. polo] Another object of the present invention is to provide such a washer mounting tool in a difficult access area, which allows a faster assembly and better quality than the assemblies of washers made with the means and according to the methods known from the prior art. It is also an object of the present invention to provide such a mounting tool, which, applied to a cylinder head screw washer, allows a lightening of the latter. Finally, it is also an object of the present invention to provide such a mounting tool, which is, in general, design, realization and simple use, which is stable, reliable and economical. To achieve these goals, the present invention relates to a mounting tool for positioning a washer on a bearing surface in a poorly accessible area of a room, and the new tool is constituted by a main body completed by a hook at the end of which is placed the washer to be mounted with a small inclination thereof relative to the vertical, so that, during the descent of the tool, the washer tilts in contact with its surface resting on the piece and is placed by simple gravity on the support surface of said piece. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the hook is articulated on the main body, so that, once released from the mass of the washer, the hook can rotate on its axis to facilitate the release of the assembly tool and its empty lift. The hook is advantageously mounted articulated against the action of a resilient means of the spring type, in particular of the helical spring type, so as to facilitate the natural tilting of the hook, once the washer rested on its bearing surface . According to the preferred embodiment of the invention also, the hook has, at a distance from its lower end which is smaller than the outer diameter of the washer, a protuberance or lateral extension, which extension has a support surface of the washer, said support face being inclined relative to the horizontal by an angle substantially equal to that of the inclination relative to the vertical of the washer placed on the hook. In addition, the end of the hook is preferably deflected, to form a second support surface of the washer, the deflection being relative to the vertical of an angle corresponding to the angle relative to the vertical tilt of the washer placed on the hook. The mounting tool can be lowered either manually or by the action of an automatic means for positioning the washer on the bearing surface. According to an exemplary application of the present invention, not limiting the object and scope of the present patent application, the washer is a bearing washer of a motor bolt assembly screw thermal motor vehicle, and the support washer is positioned on a countersink of the cylinder head, at the entrance of the bore for receiving the assembly screw. The present invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, equipped with a heat engine cylinder head, in which the valves are controlled by pushers, and in this heat engine the support washers screws assembly of the cylinder head are implemented by means of a mounting tool according to that described above in outline. Other objects, advantages and features of the invention will appear in the following description of an exemplary embodiment, not limiting the object and scope of the present patent application, accompanied by drawings in which - Figure 1 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of a bearing washer of a motor vehicle engine head bolt assembly, the washer being shown in the mounted position in its counterbore performed at inlet of the bore for receiving the bolt assembly bolt, - Figure 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view showing the assembly tool of the invention for the implementation of the bearing washer. assembly screw in the cylinder head of FIG. 1, and - FIGS. 3 to 7 are diagrammatic longitudinal sectional views showing the operation of the mounting tool of FIG. 2 and, by 2 9 8 5 1 7 5 therefore, the kinematics of the implementation this of the screw washer support assembly in its counterbore in the cylinder head. Referring to the drawing of Figure 1, there is shown a portion of a motor vehicle engine cylinder head, general reference 20. As a non-limiting example of the object and scope of the According to the present invention, the yoke 20 is a cylinder head of a thrust distribution type heat engine of relatively complex architecture, in which the positioning of the reference bearing washers 10, the assembly screws, the 40, the breech is difficult, for reasons of accessibility to counterbores or bearing surfaces, reference 21, provided to receive the washers 10. ZZ 'represents the axis of the assembly screw 40, by Consequently, the axis of the bore 22 which receives the screw 40. The washer 10 is of thickness "e", of external diameter "D" and of internal diameter "d". The housing 21 (countersink) formed in the yoke 20 is dimensioned in diameter and depth to receive the washer 10. The reference 22 designates the receiving bore in the yoke of the assembly screw 40. It will be noted that this housing 21 is located in an inaccessible zone of the yoke 20, because of the presence of a breech portion, illustrated by the reference 20A, located above and in the axis of the bore 22 of the 20 The washer 10 can not be easily moved vertically through this yoke portion 20A to reach the counterbore 21. It is therefore necessary to assemble the washer 10 in a more complex kinematics. According to the principle of the present invention, the mounting of the washer 10, 25 according to a more complex kinematics, is achieved by means of a tool, called "assembly tool", of general reference 30, which is described below. , with reference to the drawing of Figure 2. [0025] This tool is composed of two main parts: a main body 31 and a hook 32 substantially in the extension of the main body 31. The hook 32 is mounted articulated on the body 31, about an axis 33 and against the elastic return force of a coil spring type spring 34. The upper portion 38 of the hook 32 and the spring 34 are located in a kind of internal cavity housing 31A formed at the lower end of the main body 31. [0027] The lower end of the hook 32 is intended to form a support on which is placed the washer 10 to be mounted with an inclination "a" relative to the vertical, so that the washer 10, thus inclined, can pass through the yoke portion 20A and be deposited on its counterbore 21, as described later in the description of the operation of the mounting tool of the invention. The reference "r" designates the axis of orientation of the washer 10 placed on the end of the hook 32 forming a support. The axis "r" makes an angle "a" with the vertical axis ZZ 'of the assembly. The support of the washer 10 on the tool 30 is constituted by the following two forms, serving one and the other support: - a lateral extension or protrusion 35, which has a support surface 36 for the inclined washer 10, this support face 36 being, on the one hand, located at a distance from the lower end of the hook which is smaller than the outer diameter "D" of the washer 10 and being, on the other hand, inclined relative to the horizontal of an angle substantially equal to that of the inclination "a" of installation of the washer 10 on the end of the hook 32, and - a lower end 37 of the hook 32 which is deflected at an angle corresponding to the inclination "a" of the washer 10 on the hook 32. [0030] The operation of the mounting tool 30 is described below, with reference to the drawings of FIGS. 3 to 7. [0031] The washer 10 is placed on the end of the hook 32, more precisely on the supports of writings previously, namely the supports 36 and 37 (Figure 3) and according to an inclination "a" with the vertical. The tool 30, with the washer placed on the hook 32, is lowered (arrow "MB" of Figure 4). The inclination of the washer 10 allows the passage of the latter through the yoke portion 20A above the bore 22 of the assembly screw 40. The washer 10 is then tilted in contact with its countersink 21 on the cylinder head 20, as shown in the drawing of Figure 5. Released from the mass of the washer 10, the hook 32 pivots on its axis 33 against the elastic return action of the spring 34. The washer 10 is placed by simple gravity on its counterbore 21 at the inlet of the bore 22 of the assembly screw 40. As shown in the drawing of FIG. 6, the assembly tool 30 is then reassembled empty (arrow "MH"), the hook 32 substantially vertical passing through the inner hole of the washer 30, then through the yoke portion 20A (Figure 7). Note that, released from the mass of the washer 10, the hook 32 pivots on its axis 33 to facilitate the release of the mounting tool 30 and its empty lift. The downward movement (and upward movement) of the mounting tool 30 can be achieved manually, or by means of an automatic means of known type, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric or magnetic. . According to an alternative embodiment of the invention not described in detail, the hook 30 can use grippers of the washer 10. [0036] The washer mounting tool described above has many advantages. , among which the following advantages: it allows a saving of time of assembly of the washers, it also allows a better quality of mounting of the washers, - it allows a lightening of the breech, by removing the arrangements of foundry, such as the ribs, large leaves, slopes, created specifically to guide washers to their dwellings, and - it is simple to manufacture, therefore economical.5
