A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un dispositif d'application du type précité, caractérisé en ce que l'élément d'application présente une surface d'application de produit de forme allongée suivant un axe d'allongement sensiblement perpendiculaire à la direction principale de mise en contact de la surface d'application sur la surface kératinique. Le dispositif selon l'invention peut comprendre l'une ou plusieurs des caractéristiques suivantes, prise(s) isolément ou suivant toutes combinaisons techniquement possibles : - la surface de support est convexe. - la surface d'application comporte une première région, avantageusement une première région centrale, de largeur, prise perpendiculairement à l'axe d'allongement, distincte de la largeur d'une deuxième région, avantageusement d'une deuxième région d'extrémité. - la surface d'application délimite un premier bord et un deuxième bord convergent l'un vers l'autre à une première extrémité axiale de la surface d'application, le premier bord et le deuxième bord formant avantageusement un angle aigu au niveau de l'extrémité axiale. - le premier bord et le deuxième bord convergent en une deuxième extrémité axiale opposée par rapport à la première extrémité axiale, le premier bord et le deuxième bord formant avantageusement un angle aigu au niveau de la deuxième extrémité axiale. - le contour de la surface d'application est sensiblement identique au contour de la surface de support. - la surface de support comporte une ligne médiane de sommet s'étendant avantageusement suivant l'axe d'allongement, la surface de support présentant deux régions en saillie ou en retrait par rapport à la ligne médiane de sommet, les régions en saillie ou en retrait étant situées de part et d'autre de la ligne médiane de sommet. - l'organe de préhension est dépourvu de partie traversant l'épaisseur de l'élément d'application. - l'épaisseur de l'élément d'application, prise entre une surface d'appui sur la surface de support, et la surface d'application de produit cosmétique est sensiblement constante. - l'organe de préhension comporte un manche s'étendant suivant un axe de manche et une tête faisant saillie radialement par rapport au manche, la surface de support étant délimitée sur la tête. - le manche s'étend sensiblement linéairement. - le manche est formé par un bloc convexe ou concave. - l'élément d'application est formé à base de mousse, de mousse floquée, de flocage, de mousse recouverte de tissu, de tissu, ou de non-tissé. - l'élément d'application est formé par une couche continue non traversée par la surface de support ; - l'élément d'application est poreux ; - la surface de support est pleine en regard de la surface d'application ; - la surface de support délimite au moins un creux d'étendue notamment inférieure à 50% de l'étendue de la surface de support, avantageusement une pluralité de trous de retenue de l'élément d'application, l'élément d'application comportant une partie en saillie reçue dans le creux ; - la surface d'application présente une forme d'amande ; - la première extrémité axiale et la deuxième extrémité axiale sont situées suivant l'axe d'allongement, - la surface d'application définit un premier bord périphérique et un deuxième bord périphérique, au moins un du premier bord périphérique et du deuxième bord périphérique délimitant une région concave vers l'axe d'allongement. L'invention a également pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'un dispositif tel que décrit plus haut, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : - fourniture d'un organe de préhension définissant une surface de support non plane ; - fourniture d'un élément d'application présentant une conformation spatiale distincte de celle de la surface de support ; - déformation de l'élément d'application pour l'appliquer sur la surface de support pour que la surface de support imprime sa forme non plane à l'élément d'application; - fixation de l'élément d'application sur la surface de support. L'invention a également pour objet une méthode d'application de produit cosmétique sur une surface kératinique, la méthode comprenant les étapes suivantes : - fourniture d'un dispositif tel que décrit plus haut ; - disposition de produit cosmétique sur la surface d'application ; - application d'une première région de la surface d'application sur la surface kératinique pour y déposer du produit cosmétique, sans appliquer une deuxième région de la surface d'application sur la surface kératinique, la deuxième région présentant avantageusement une largeur, prise perpendiculairement à l'axe d'allongement, distincte de la largeur de la première région ; - puis, application de la deuxième région de la surface d'application sur la surface kératinique pour y déposer du produit cosmétique. La méthode selon l'invention peut comprendre l'une ou plusieurs des caractéristiques suivantes, prise(s) isolément ou suivant toutes combinaisons techniquement possibles : - la disposition de produit cosmétique sur la surface d'application comporte l'application d'un premier produit cosmétique en regard d'une première région de la surface d'application et l'application d'un deuxième produit cosmétique distinct du premier produit cosmétique en regard d'une deuxième région. L'invention a également pour objet une utilisation d'un dispositif tel que défini plus haut pour créer un dégradé entre deux produits cosmétiques déposés sur une surface kératinique.
