Abstract

The device has a pressed steel fish-plate for allowing the connection of two furrings in a side by side manner, perpendicular manner, end to end manner and an angular manner, where the device is made of a sheet protected from corrosion. Two side notches and a central hole facilitate the assembly of the furring forming an angle. Folded cuts are conjugated with partial internal cuttings (2) in the shape of a lug to allow the assembly of all types of the furring by sliding or clamping.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION: The present invention relates to a splice for the assembly of metal profiles called furs, in the field of construction, false ceilings, partitions, against partitions, doublings and walls .

PRIOR TECHNICAL STATE: When the framework is made of furs, it is frequently used splints to bind the furs two by two. These splints are generally U-shaped and must be adapted to the types of 10 furs used. Some workers have developed "U" or "W" fishplates to fit furrs 45 and 47. These fishplates must be slid by longitudinal translation into the "U" branches of the furs; which leads to difficulties in laying especially at each setting 15 new fur. These fishplates have only one application and can be used only for the establishment of butt furs. Consequently, when used in "T", it is common for the professional to cut and then screw the furs together. This requires some experience on the part of the installers and, above all, a waste of time. In order to overcome these shortcomings, some companies have developed new splints: "ECLISCOPE" for SPP and patent application for a splint on 25/04/06 for LAFARGE PLATRES. These systems have major disadvantages. On the one hand, they do not correspond to all use cases: longitudinal, perpendicular, side-by-side and angular, and, on the other hand, they impose the addition of a second mechanical part for SPP as well as the use of a screw for LAFARGE PLATRES. These elements contribute to the risk of a laying fault. The need to find on the market a new piece, unique, simple and easy to use for the four assembly configurations without tools, is very real.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention consists of a single article, universal splint (Figure 1), requiring no tool for laying. This invention makes it possible to ensure the connection of two furs: end-to-end, perpendicular, parallel and angular.

DESCRIPTION The invention is a splice made of sheet metal protected against corrosion for assembling metal furs. The layout of modern buildings has seen the spread of drywall from prefabricated factory components.

This technique generates substantial time savings and provides levels of qualities that do not require special skill on the part of the installers. It is thus particularly adapted to the economic situation of the building which is undergoing the increase of the labor costs. Prefabricated plasterboard between two sheets of cardboard are thus screwed on metal structures called furs. On this type of reinforcement may also be screwed deployed metal laths intended to receive a coating or panels of various materials that may constitute ceilings or walls. These structures are assembled and adjusted thanks to hardware accessories allowing their alignment before their fixation on the structural work of the building. The large number of accessories, however, complicates supplies, assembly and tooling requirements. Faced with this finding, it is now desired that the bonding of furs be simplified by the use of a universal splint.

The fishplates currently available on the market are dedicated to a type of metal profile. They allow butt joints, after a length adjustment of the furs. The present invention is a multi-purpose splint protected against corrosion, allowing to assemble most types of fur end-to-end market (Figure 6).

This universal splint allows avoiding cuts to ensure a side by side bonding to form a structural reinforcement (Figure 7), a perpendicular assembly of the furs (Figure 8) and an assembly of two furs forming an angle through the two cuts side of the splint allowing its folding (Figure 9). The operator benefits from a system to use by sliding or clipping allowing him four configurations of assemblies without specialized tools. The ingenuity of the folded cuts allows the hooking by guaranteeing a good connection between two furs. The stiffness of the splint is ensured by the central rib and the two lateral folds, the realization of a central hole and two lateral notches facilitate the folding. The simplicity of the article and its universality reduce the cost price compared to previous techniques.

Figure 6 is a perspective representation of the connection with the universal splint between two furs end to end. Figure 7 is a perspective representation of the connection with the universal splint between two furs side by side. Figure 8 is a perspective representation of the connection with the universal splint between two furrows perpendicular or "T". Figure 9 is a perspective representation of the connection with the universal splint between two furs for achieving an angle by folding the universal splice at the desired angle. The folded cutouts (FIG. 4) have a shape (reference 3) which makes it possible to hold the furs perpendicularly and, it is a second partial cut (FIG. 3, reference 2), inside the first which, folded towards the right outside, allows the holding of the fur in the case of longitudinal assembly. This invention allows a connection of the furs: angular assembly, longitudinal, parallel and perpendicular with a single piece that attaches as a clip playing on the elasticity of the fur.
