Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the manufacture of a filter for use in the treatment of waste water generated by the olive oil production industry commonly referred to as "margines", and the production of a filter for the treatment of waste water generated by the olive oil production industry commonly referred to as "margines". refining of its residues until the recovery of polyphenols from organic matter and salts, and the production of a water suitable for watering, by the combination as filtering products: activated carbon, zeolite, and sand . This is a Class 40 product. Method of manufacture: The Margines recovered at their exit are first poured into a decanter tank through a filter composed of washed gravel and sand to recover the large woody parts. suspension in the Margines. Then with a pump of 1 "the Margines are sent in a filter composed of a container of a diameter of 2.5 meters and a height of 3m which contains successive layers with a thickness of 1 meter of sand, del meter zeolite, and 1 meter of activated carbon, of a relatively large particle size ranging from 0.4 to 0.12 mm These layers are separated by a diaphragm having 0.3 mm holes These layers successively recover salts, polyphenols and Organic substances and colors The Margines are then taken to a second 2m x 2.50m x 2.50m decanter tank through a layer of 20 cm of fine sand to recover saline parts mainly composed of potassium salts. the Margines are sent by another pump in another filter of the same size as the first of a diameter of 2.50m x 3m having successive layers of zeolite, activated charcoal and sand with a thickness of 1 meter. and a particle size ranging from 0.3 to 0.6 mm separated by a diaphragm perforated with 0.2 mm holes successively recovering polyphenols, organic materials and saline. Then the Margines are sent to another decanter tank through a layer of very fine black sand with a thickness of 40 cm. Margines thus removed from remaining parts are sent into a third filter of 2.50 mx 3 m containing successive layers of activated carbon, sand and zeolites with a thickness of 1 meter and a particle size ranging from 0.2 mm at 0.4mm thus recovering organic pollutants, salts, phenols. Then the Margines are sent to a final decanter tank through a layer of very fine sand of a thickness of 50 cm. At the exit we have good water for crop irrigation.
