L'invention est relative à une installation de tamisage comprenant, aménagés dans un chenal (5) véhiculant un fluide en écoulement avec un débit total QE : - un dispositif de tamisage (10) comportant un tamis qui comprend au moins un élément filtrant afin de tamiser une fraction Q du débit total, - au moins un premier passage (31) dans le chenal qui est adapté à laisser passer une fraction Q du débit total telle que Q = Q + Q tant que la perte de charge entre l'amont et l'aval du dispositif de tamisage est inférieure à une valeur prédéterminée, au moins un deuxième passage (32) dans le chenal qui est adapté à laisser passer une fraction Q du débit total telle que Q = Q + Q + Q lorsque ladite perte de charge est supérieure à la valeur prédéterminée.
