Description
The invention relates to a barrier comprising: - an elongated front section, - posts, connected to it along its length, in the upper part, - bases each adapted to be retained in the ground. Raceway barriers are particularly concerned. There are barriers in which the bases are shifted rearward with respect to a position under the list, a separable connection being established between the posts, in the lower part, and said bases so that a separation between a post and its base can intervene in response to an impact on the pole having a horizontal component, parallel to the lice. In terms of the problems that have been worked on, we can note the following: - if the aforementioned impact occurs, it is preferable that the post provides some restraint, but that the latter is not too important to avoid significantly hurting a person if this has caused the impact, - a controlled erasure of the impacted post 25 may be useful, - said separable link (established in the lower part) as known in the prior art of the racetrack barriers does not allow not, alone, to secure a sufficient number of impact configurations, 30 - in connection with the foregoing, a rotation, during an said impact, of the bottom of the post about the vertical axis which typically follows this. post in its operational state may not be appropriate in some cases. To tend to a solution taking into account at least such considerations, it is proposed here that the connection between the lice and a said post in the upper part thereof is frangible (or fracturable) to break when the post is separated (or separates) from its base following the impact considered.
Throughout this text, the expression "... when the post is separated from its base ..." includes that, as will probably be the case in the field, the rupture of the connection between the lice and its post may intervene, in time, a little after the physical separation between the post and its base (rather than at the moment), consecutively to the impact (see further on this subject). At first glance, the precise moment of separation is not absolutely decisive. Effective operation will be obtained if the frangible connection (fracturable) between the lice and a said post is adapted to rupture by torsion, following said impact exerted on this post with (at least) a horizontal component parallel to the link. To promote controlled deletion of the post, it is furthermore recommended that said connection between the lice and the post, in the upper part of the latter, is locked in rotation by upper retaining means which connect them together and thus act against free rotation of one vis-à-vis the other when the post is separated from its base after said impact, until fracturing of the frangible connection.
According to an alternative or complementary consideration of the problem, it is proposed that a connecting piece is provided which is mechanically connected to the post by said frangible connection and to the section so that the connection to the lice resists when the frangible connection breaks. Typically, this connecting piece may belong to the aforementioned upper retaining means. In a relevant embodiment, it is furthermore provided that the frangible connection is defined by a breakable pin fixing the connection between the post and the connecting piece, this pin being adapted to break when this post is separated from its base consecutively. impact audit.
Preferably, the pin will be mounted without play in cooperating holes of the post and the connecting piece. It is advisable that it is the same for the connection by interlocking between these last elements. Other solutions, frangible spacer, frangible connecting piece and / or frangible pole top, are also proposed below. An advantage of the breakable pin solution is that it reduces the risk of aggressive debris or even spring effect (high-post solution, or even spacer, frangible). The costs and intervention time for replacement are then reduced. And the transfer of effort can be favorably controlled. Controlling together (re) high and low poles under certain impacts can further improve the safety of use of the barrier. Therefore, as an alternative or complementary solution to the foregoing, it is provided that: - the / each post comprises (preferably) a tube, - that the separable connection between the lower part of said post and its base comprises: * on an intermediate element link in which is engaged a lower portion of the post, lower retaining means which are biased upwards in response to a horizontal force applied transversely to the lice, in the direction of the rear, * and, on the base, covering means under which are engaged the lower retaining means, then to be held against said upward movement. According to another alternative or complementary consideration of this problem, it is also proposed that the separable connection between the lower part of a said post and its base comprises slides on the base and co-operating slides on the post oriented so that their separation intervenes in response to said impact made on the pole (such F1, F3 below).
Thus it is a lateral escape of the poles, preferably with superior rupture of the aforementioned connection post / lice, which will intervene from a sufficient impact. To improve the separable connection "low" post / base, yet another alternative or complementary consideration of this problem provides that the base comprises a support plate on the ground from which stand means bearing slides located at a distance of - Top of the plate, the separable connection between the lower part of a said post and its base comprising said slides on the base and cooperating slideways, chamfered on the pole, so that, linked to the base, the post is elevated in relation to the plateau. The problem of the mechanical strength of the posts at their base was also considered.
That is why it is furthermore recommended that the / each post comprises (at least) a tube arranged, in the lower part, in a barrel of an intermediate connecting element which surrounds it (to reinforce it) and carries said link separable between the lower part of the post and its base. A combination of slides / slides only, in the lower part of the posts, which may in some cases be difficult to adapt, it is also proposed, according to yet another alternative or complementary consideration of the problem of the materialization of said separable connection "low" pole / base, that erasable retaining means limit at least a portion of the free sliding of the slides in the wings, at least in one direction.
It is then advisable to orient the slides / slides substantially parallel to the direction of elongation of the lice, or angularly spaced from it by an angle of less than 45 °. It will also be noted that, above, the expression "another alternative or complementary consideration" is intended to make it clear that the associated characteristics could each time be the subject of an independent protection application. According to another aspect, the invention furthermore relates to a method for securing a barrier of the front-end type and posts releasably connected to their bases (under impact), as presented at the beginning of the description, with the particularity that the link between the lice and a said post is made frangible in the upper part, and this connection is broken when the post is separated (or separates) from its base following said impact (F1, F3). For this purpose, it is possible to use the lateral torsion that the column undergoes following the impact. The separable connection post / base can guide accordingly the direction of separation. A fairly wide range of direction seems a priori possible. The following description presents a non-limiting example of a slide solution. Concerning the connection between the post and the post, it will be possible in particular to make this link breakable by breaking a pin fixing the connection between the post and a connecting piece interposed between the post and the post. A more detailed description will now be presented with reference to the accompanying accompanying drawings. These drawings show: FIG. 1, which is a general view of a barrier according to the invention, in operative position, ready in particular to protect a horse (or other mount) or a jockey, by dislocation of the pole at its base in the event of an impact according in particular to F1 or F3, FIGS. 2, 3 show two successive stages of the lateral clearance of a post, following a lateral force schematized by the arrow FIG. 2, FIG. see details of embodiment, - Figures 5-7, we see several possible embodiments of the spacer 19 shown below, - Figure 8, we see a vertical section of a barrier embodiment according to the invention, - FIG. 9 shows a vertical cross-section of a column base embodiment according to the invention, FIGS. 10-12 show three possible post and base base constructions according to the invention, in perspective. - figure 13, we see in horizontal section another possible realization According to the invention, FIGS. 14, 15 show a solution with a top of fracturable post, FIGS. 16-19, a solution with a breakable pin, FIG. fracturable connecting piece. In particular Figure 1, we see a barrier 1 can be used on a race field. It comprises an elongate front lug 3, here substantially horizontal (axis of elongation 3a), posts 5, connected to it along its length, at 6, in the upper part, and bases 7 each adapted to be retained in the ground 9 being shifted rearwardly (20) relative to a position beneath the fence. A separable connection 11 is established between the posts in the lower part and the bases 7 so that a separation between a post and its base intervenes in response to an impact, for example the impact F1 applied to the post 5, horizontally and parallel to the string or having a partial component (Fli) thus oriented. The link 6 between the lice and a post is frangible. It is designed to break in torsion, in connection with the separation 11 intervening between this post 30 and its base 7, in particular following the F1 impact mentioned above. The link 6 should preferably break shortly after the separation at 11 will have occurred.
If it is, as recommended, plastic and bent, the pole 5 can thus first out of its connection 11 (in particular by lateral movement to its base, following the impact, as detailed below), by bending laterally (Figure 2) lower than its bending elbow 17, before the link 6 then breaks (Figure 3). A tubular plastic embodiment of the post (such as PVC) must promote its lateral deflection, typically in the middle part of its height H1, under the handlebar 17. Whatever the way to achieve the frangible connection 6, the following sequence may thus arise, following an impact and a force such F1 exerted. discharge of the base of the post (separation of the link 11) with lateral deflection of the post, torsion of the upper part thereof, then rupture of the upper part frangible. This appears in figures 1-3 and 18-19. 1, 2, 4, 8, it will be noted that the link 6 between the link and the post 5 in question is locked in rotation by upper retaining means 13 which connect them together and thus act against a free rotation from one vis-à-vis the other, when the post is separated from its base 7, following the impact F1 supra. In particular, FIGS. 1, 4 and 8 also show that the upper retaining means 13 advantageously comprise a connecting piece 15 which is mechanically connected by said frangible connection 6, on the one hand to the post 5 concerned and, on the other hand, in section 3, so that this connection to the lice resists when the frangible connection breaks under stress.
In the figures, it is noted that the connecting piece 15 which connects the illustrated post 5 and the lice 3 is mechanically connected on the one hand to the upper part of the post 5, by said frangible connection 6, and, on the other hand, in string 3 so that this link resists when the frangible link breaks. This connecting piece 15, which incorporates fastening means to the lice, for example the rectilinear protrusions 15b1, 15b2 clipable in the slots 30a, 30b - see below - could also integrate the frangible connection 6, for example the slots d mechanical weakening 19b1, 19b2 of the spacer 19 - see below -; these could cross the thickness of its rear end 15a. The post 5 could then engage with the piece 15, just behind the frangible connection 6, so that its rupture causes the pole / part separation. One could even provide to integrate together (in one piece) post 5, frangible connection 6 and connecting piece 15: before the upper end of the carrying post with integrated attachment means to the lice (for example the aforementioned excrescences) would find interposed a frangible connection 6 also integrated (eg said slots).
The parts in question are preferably made of molded plastic (favorably by injection), however the use is recommended: - of at least two separate parts: post and part ensuring the functions of both attachment to the link and 30 of liaison frangible 6, and preferably three separate parts: post 5, connecting piece 15 ensuring the attachment to the list, and bearing part of the frangible connection 6 and engaged on one side with the post, the other with the piece link 15, such as the spacer 19 (or the pin 21, Figure 18). For the same reasons, it is furthermore recommended that each post 5 comprises a tube 5a. Plastic, the one figured is curved at the top (in 17). Thus, in the preferred version shown in particular Figure 8 or 18, the / each tube 5a is connected to the lice 3 to its top through the connecting piece 15, which will therefore preferably blocked in rotation. In addition, Figure 8, the tube 5a, in the upper part, and / or the piece 15 is (are) mechanically weakened (es) to break in particular following the impact F1 supra. In the solution of FIGS. 4, 8 in particular, the upper end of the tube 5a is engaged with the spacer 19. To ensure its fracturable junction function having a certain elasticity before breaking by torsion and / or flexion, it is recommended that this spacer 19 is plastic and carries one or more mechanical losses. 5, the mechanical weakening is formed by a small thickness of the wall 190 of the spacer, which is hollow (tubular, but not necessarily circular section). Figure 6, notches 19b1, 19b2 diametrically opposed horizontally weaken the wall of the spacer, in the intermediate portion of its length. Figure 7, it is a connecting piece comprising two tubular end portions connected in the intermediate portion by a thin rib 19b3 may deform elastically in torsion and / or bending, then plastically until fracture. In each of these cases, the frangible connection will therefore comprise a mechanically weakened tubular spacer to break at least following the F1 or F3 impact. In any case, it is further advised that the tube 5a of the post and / or the spacer 19 is (eng) engaged (s) in the tip 15a of the connecting piece protruding from the list, behind it. Figures 4, 8, it is also found that this spacer 19 is engaged between on the one hand this projecting tip 15a and an upper end 50 of the post 5. To avoid misalignment of the spacer at the time when the break must occur, further advises that the upper retaining means 13 comprise rigid connections between on the one hand the connecting piece 15 and the tubular spacer, and, on the other hand, the latter and the pole 5. It may be to each time of a commitment without clearance. FIGS. 1, 4, 8 show that these rigid connections comprise first and second pins 21a, 21b respectively engaged through: - the connecting piece 15 and the tubular spacer 19, 25 - And the latter and the pole 5. The mechanical strength of the pins 21a, 21b is here provided greater than that of the frangible connection 6. It will be seen in more detail later that this frangible connection 6 can however be made with a goupi It is scored. Figures 4, 8, but also Figure 14, a link 23 connects the connecting piece and the post to limit the range of displacement of the pole when it is separated from its base 7, in particular following said impact F1, and that the connection Frangible is broken. Here, the link 23 connects the pins 21a, 21b.
In general, a means, such as this link 23, flexible and resistant retaining will retain the relevant post vis-à-vis the lice 3, when the post is dismantled by the impact suffered. Figures 14, 15 shows a mechanically weakened post solution. There is no more spacer 19. This is the tube 5a which is weakened. In the example, it is a slit weakening solution, or slots, 50b1, 50b2 that has been illustrated. In the preferred example illustrated, the pole top 5 is, beyond the weakened zone, engaged with the connecting piece 15. Preferably, this nesting 151 is without play. A pin 21 fixes the connection between the porch and the connecting piece 15. Thus, the pole 5 has in the upper part a frangible zone 500. Figures 14, 15, we even see that, closer to its free upper end, the post is bonded with the connecting piece 15, it - Even tied (15b1, 15b2) to the list 3. These links with the connecting piece are mechanically stronger than the breakable zone 500. Figure 15, this area 500, located before the engagement of the pin 21, is broken under the twisting force already mentioned. Whatever the version adopted, the frangible link 6 will be stronger than the separable link 11 where the post / base separation will therefore occur at least in the event of an angularly spaced impact (in a horizontal plane) of an impact F2 perpendicular to the lice, and in particular in case of an F1 impact, or main component Fli. The separation at 11 is therefore supposed to occur before the breakage of the link 6. In particular Figure 4, it can be noted that the rear end 15a of the connecting piece 15 with which engages the top 50 of the pole 5 is here extended by a front lug 15b generally parallel to the axis of elongation 3a. The tab 15b is fixed tight (here engaged elastically by force, by clipping) with the rear of the list 3. For this, the lice has two rear slots, respectively high 30a and low 30b, separated one of the other and extending parallel along the axis 3a. They are a priori continuous. For its removable attachment to the link, each tab 15b here has two rectilinear protrusions 15b1, 15b2 clipable in the slots. Thus, the connecting piece 15 extends projecting behind the lice. Between slots the slot has a central groove 31 open towards the rear, like the slots.
Internally the list is partitioned into cells separated by internal partitions, such as 33a, 33b. It is a priori expected that the list, the posts 5 and the piece 15 are rigid plastic. It is advisable that it is the same for other parts, excluding bases. A vinyl type or polyolefin is recommended, such as PVC or PE. Bases 7 partly metal are recommended. Regarding these bases, it is advisable that the separable connection 11 between the lower part of a post 5 and its base comprises slides 27a, 27b on the base and co-operating slides 25a, 25b on the post.
In the assembled / mounted state of the barrier, these slides and slides will typically be oriented substantially parallel to the string (see Figures 2, 3, 8 for example).
Depending on the implantation situations, the slides of the base could however be oriented at an angle R with respect to the axis 3a which could be between 0 ° and +/- 45 ° (or a little more), the vertex this angle being directed towards the side from which the shock can reasonably be expected (for example F1 or F3, FIG. 1), the direction of displacement provided along the barrier being then referenced S. This sense can be that of a race competing along the barriers. To promote the support and the maintenance on the ground, we see in different figures that, favorably, the base 7 will include a support plate 70a on the ground from which stand means 70b, 70c bearing slides. These slides, which may be those above 27a, 27b, are located at a distance above the plate.
They are each formed as a "V" which can be untruncated. A shape for example in "C" may also be suitable. Thus, with a pole provided at its base slides, it will provide a raised post compared to the plate 70a in the engaged position with the base (distance H, Figure 9 for example). This solution must also reduce friction and thus reduce the risk of jamming. The slides, such as those mentioned above 25a, 25b, may be chamfered on the pole. In the illustrated embodiment, the slides are prominent and the recesses slides. It could be the opposite.
Favorably, whether they are provided on the post or the base, the slides (27a, 27b) will cooperate with the slides (25a, 25b) along parallel surfaces, as illustrated, and at least one of these slides and slides plastics with a low coefficient of friction, such as PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) PE-UHPM (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) or POM (polyoxymethylene). This avoids the problem of arching. To limit at least in one direction the free sliding of the slides in the wings, it will also be noted that, Figures 1, 10, 11, 12, the link 11 comprises retaining means 29 to prevent inadvertent dislodgements that may be caused by weak or parasitic forces (vibrations, oscillations of the pole, effect of the wind). Preferably, these means 29 will be erasable, as illustrated. These means may comprise one or more blades, such as 29a and / or 29b, arranged facing at least one side, such as 310, transverse to the rails 25a, 25b, of the post or of the means 31. , to limit the, or act against, free lateral clearance of the post at 11, at least in one direction (Si Figure 12). It can be a flexible tongue. One could provide to / articulate, by fixing / pivotally on the means (s) carrier 70b / 70c, thus facilitating the establishment in both directions of the link 11, raised tab. Folded the / each tab becomes operational. It should also be noted that the separable connection 11 will advantageously comprise, as illustrated, an intermediate connecting element 31 in which a lower part of the post (respectively of the tube 5a) will be engaged and which will ensure the retaining and the operational link post / base 7. Otherwise , the pole 5 would integrate the intermediate element 31, as a one-piece part. A two-piece construction solves manufacturing problems and optimizes each piece. On the element 31 (or so at the base of the pole) are provided lower retention means 33 which are biased upwards in response to a horizontal force applied perpendicular to the lice, towards the rear (such as the F2 effort). On the base, these means 33 cooperate with means 35 covering which are engagable means 33, then to be held against said upward movement. Thus, under stress in the direction of F2, the pole must not disengage from the base 7 (lateral clearance). The means 33 and means 35 could correspond to the means 26/31 or 206 / 212-214 of WO-A-2008031150.
Figures 1, 10, 11 are in particular the rails 25a, 25b of the post and the slides 27a, 27b cooperating with the base. Regarding the element / the intermediate connecting portion 31 carrying the link 11, it is provided in Figures 10, 11 that the post 5 or the tube 5a of each post is arranged, in the lower part, inside a barrel 31a of this means 31. In addition, to strengthen it, it is expected that the element 31 widens down in a state where the pole 5 is connected to its base 7. Figures 9, 11, the element 31 ribs 34. Figures 8, 10, it is provided with an outer shell 35. This shell and / or the ribs 34 connects (s) the shaft and the slides or slides formed on it. Also for strengthening the base of the post, it is recommended that the post 5 or the tube 5a is doubled in the lower part by a (second) tube 5b. The two tubes will be partially received in the drum 31a and fixed together and / or to the intermediate connecting element (or part) 31, by a fixing means 37. FIG. 8, it is a rivet connecting the three .
Preferably the two tubes 5a, 5b will be rigid plastic. The length of the tube 5b above the means 31 will preferably be greater than that in the drum 31a. The total height H1 of the tube 5b will preferably be between 1/5 and 1/3 of the height H2 of the post 5 under its elbow 17. It will also be noted that in the operational position of the posts, the part of each of them ( of the tube 5a concerned) located under the bend 17 will preferably be vertical, likewise, in the illustrated examples, that the shaft 31a, the slides and the slides 27a, 27b then being horizontal. In the extension of the elbow the post becomes horizontal. This is also the orientation of each spacer and the connecting piece 15. Bias orientations are possible.
Figure 17, la goupille 21 est creuse. To retain the base 7 in the ground 39, a pile 41 is provided. It extends under the plate 70a and can be presented as a vertical blade. Preferably, the pile will be metallic, like the plate 70a. They may have been welded together. open towards the rear, so with a point 41a facing the list maintaining the ground and an axis of symmetry 43 perpendicular to the axis 3a of the list, operational barrier. Preferably, and as illustrated, the opening angle of the "V" of the blade will be greater than 60 ° and even favorably 90 °. 17, the blade 41 is in the form of a U-shaped bracket. This shape is preferable to the "V" shape shown in FIGS. 1, 10 and 11, for better stability in the ground. Figure 13, there is shown a system (releasable) 45 for holding elastically by force ("snap means" in English, spring latch latching / unlocking abrupt) preventing the pole or the intermediate means 31 to disengage from the base 7 inadvertently , in the context of the connection 11. It may be a ball or a ball-end piece, 47, pushed by a biasing means 49, such as a spring, to a notch 51 of the slideway concerned, to lodge in the state of restraint. consecutively to a force on the post (shock, Figure 13), not parallel to F2, the link 11 is separated (here the base of the sliding post) after clearance of the notch 51. There may be a notch of both sides. Figures 16-19, the pole 5 is, in the upper part, connected with the connecting piece 15 which is itself connected to the lice 3 (for example clips 15b1, 15b2). A pin 21 fixes the connection between the post and the connecting piece. This pin is adapted to break, when the post is separated from its base 7 consecutively to the impact already mentioned, as is understood in Figures 18-19: Under the lateral torsional force transmitted to the top of the post, the pin breaks, here in three parts. These ruptures here have occurred at the place of the orifices already presented (50a, 150a) which allow this pin to pass through the post (here tubular) and the rear end 15a (also tubular) of the piece 15. It is advisable that the connection between the post and the connecting piece 15 is a fit without play. Again, this defines the retaining means 13. The rigid fastening connection piece 15 / lice 3 (here by the clips 15b1, 15b2) also participates , favorably. With such a solution, the frangible connection 6 may be defined by the pin 21 which thus fixes the connection (then without spacer) post / connecting piece 15 and which will preferably be mounted without play in the cooperating orifices 50a, 150a. Figure 17, the pin 21 is hollow. It has a central duct 210, in the direction of its length. This weakens it and secures its expected break. A tapered pin is also considered. Engaged without play, it will stick well in its receiving duct, favoring clear breaks, as figure 19, by torsion.
20, the frangible connection 6 is provided by mechanical weakening of the connecting piece 15, away from its portion 15b of attachment to the lice 3. Here nicks, or slots, 60 are formed in its end behind 15a, around so the upper end of pole 5 nested there. Beyond this frangible zone, a pin 21 fixed the connection, as Figures 14, 15. For the rest the parts are those already described above. In terms of dimensions, we can retain, whatever the versions: a pole height of about 1200 mm, a cantilever of the lice of about 380 mm, a column tube thickness of 5 mm, for a pole outside diameter of about 60 mm and a pin diameter of the order of 11-12 mm ± 2 mm (full pin which may be PVC). Regarding the connection between the connecting piece 15 and the lice 3, the protuberances 15b1, 15b2 clipping in their receiving grooves could be supplemented (reinforced), or replaced by other fastening means, for example by screwing.
