The present invention relates to a torque wrench, in particular for a dental instrument. The invention relates more particularly, but not specifically, to the field of dental instruments and, in particular, the descaling tools. However, it is also applicable to any tightening of bolts requiring a predefined tightening torque. These include, but are not limited to, the installation of lawn mower blades, or the assembly of furniture items kit. Dental instruments, to which the invention applies, usually comprise a dental handpiece, or PAM, which is connected to motor means. In addition, an insert forming a bolting element can be adapted to this PAM for the purpose of treating the patient. Since this insert is in contact with the patient's dentition, it is necessary to remove it from the PAM after each use. This insert is then either replaced by an identical insert or sterilized. Then, this new insert, or sterilized insert, must be replaced on the PAM by exerting a clamping force, whose torque is predetermined to ensure proper placement. Indeed, a too weak tightening can put in question the good functioning of the tool. On the contrary, if the clamping is implemented with too much force, this is likely to damage the insert, or even the PAM. In this regard, EP-A-1 671 751 discloses a torque wrench of the aforementioned type. This key comprises a core capable of rotatably engaging a housing, the core having a bore for receiving the insert. Furthermore, the receiving channel of a spring communicates with this bore, while the corresponding spring ensures the maintenance of the insert in the core. This document provides an engagement member comprising two arms, which is in selective communication with a ramp, located on the housing. This engagement member is adapted so that up to a certain level of effort, the rotation of the housing causes that of the core. On the other hand, beyond this level, the rotation of the housing disengages the arm, which leads to an absence of rotation of the core and, consequently, of the insert.
This known solution, however, involves certain disadvantages. Indeed, this key has a complex structure, especially insofar as it uses many components. Moreover, this key is accompanied by an implementation method that is inconvenient for the dental surgeon.
That being said, the invention aims to remedy these various disadvantages. For this purpose, it relates to a torque wrench, in particular for dental instrument, in particular for descaling tool, this key being intended to cooperate with a bolting element, in particular a dental insert, adapted to be screwed onto a gripping member hand of said dental instrument, this bolting element comprising a screwing zone, of polygonal section, characterized in that this key comprises a first clamping zone intended to bear against a first clamping region of the bolting element, and than a second clamping zone intended to bear against a second clamping region of the bolting element, the second clamping zone of this key being able to move apart, opposite the first zone, when these two zones exert a tightening torque whose value is greater than or equal to a predetermined value. According to advantageous but not mandatory aspects, such a key can incorporate one or more of the following features: the first clamping zone is formed by an L-shaped seat adapted to receive two adjacent sides of the bolting element. - The second clamping zone is formed by an elastic tongue, bordered by two notches. - The key is made in one piece. The first clamping zone also forms a loosening zone of the bolting element, while a second loosening zone is provided, distinct from the second clamping zone. - The key is formed by a thin blade, in particular between 1 and 5 mm. - The key has a length between 30 and 100 mm, and a width between 20 and 50 mm. The invention also relates to a set of bolts, comprising a key, as above, and at least one bolt element clean to be screwed, by means of this key. According to advantageous but non-mandatory aspects, such an assembly may incorporate one or more of the following features: - several bolting elements are provided. - There are several elements of bolts of rectangular section, having the same width but different lengths. The invention will be described below, with reference to the accompanying drawings, given solely by way of non-limiting example, in which: Figure 1 is a perspective view, illustrating a key according to the invention; FIGS. 2A to 2D are front views illustrating the screwing of an insert by means of this key; FIGS. 3A to 3C are front views, illustrating the unscrewing of this insert by means of this key; and Figure 4 illustrates the cooperation of this key with another insert, larger. The torque wrench 10 according to the invention, shown in the various figures, is in the form of a flat body, blade type. The typical dimensions, respectively the length L, the width! and the thickness e are given hereinafter with a non-limiting type: length L between 30 and 100 mm; width I between 20 and 50 mm; thickness e between 1 and 5 mm.
Moreover, this key is typically made of stainless steel. In the illustrated example, it is assumed that the key is capable of cooperating with a dental instrument insert, the section of which is in the form of a quadrilateral, in particular rectangular, in particular square. As indicated in the preamble of the present description, this key can be used for tightening any other type of bolting element. With reference to FIG. 1, the front face of this key 10, which is arranged in the upper part in FIG. 1, is marked 12. This end face 12 is hollowed out with a cutout, forming a shoulder, which defines a seat 14 L shape. This seat thus allows the reception of two adjacent sides of the insert. Moreover, this front face 12 forms a return 16, which defines an additional seat 18, against which can bear another side of the insert. These two respective seats 14 and 18 are extended by two notches 20 and 22, which extend in a generally parallel manner. These two indentations form a tongue 24, the free end 24 'defines a seat 26, for the side of the insert bearing against the seat 18. We note LI and II the length, as well as the largest width, of the tongue. These values are typically between 10 and 20 mm for the length, and between 1 and 3 mm for the width. Since it is bordered by the two indentations 20 and 22, this tongue has a certain elastic nature. Therefore, when applying a high force, it tends to move away from the first seat 14. Then, when the aforementioned force is no longer exerted, this tongue returns to its original position.
The use of the torque wrench 10, described above with reference to FIG. 1, will now be explained in the following with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. As mentioned above, it is assumed that an insert is used. I square section. Two first sides 1 and 2 of the insert are placed against the seat 14, and a third side 3 at the same time against the seat 26 and in the vicinity of the seat 18 (see FIGS. 2A and 2B). On the other hand, the fourth side 4 of the insert 1 does not cooperate with the key. Note that the structure of the key according to the invention allows to install the insert in the key, without having to take it in hand. Then, this insert is placed on the body of the dental handpiece, not shown, and is rotated to its establishment. In the example, it is assumed that a clockwise rotation makes it possible to screw the insert, while a counterclockwise rotation ensures that it is unscrewed. Note that the two seats 14 and 26 form the clamping areas of the insert, while the seat 18 is not in contact with the insert during clamping. The sides 1 and 2 form the first clamping region of the insert, while the side 3 forms its second clamping region. As the screw is tightened, the torque C exerted by the key increases as well as, consequently, the antagonistic force exerted on the tongue. When the torque exerted is less than a predetermined value C ', the tongue undergoes no displacement relative to the remainder of the key, which makes it possible to continue to screw (FIGS. 2B and 2C). On the other hand, if this torque reaches the aforesaid value C ', the opposing force pushes the tongue 24 away from the seat 14, according to the arrow F in FIG. 2D. Therefore, the user can continue to screw the insert on the handle, as shown in this 2D figure. This displacement F also has the effect of increasing the transverse dimensions of the notch 20. Then, the tongue 24 returns to its original position by elasticity. It will be noted that, thanks to the invention, it is possible to obtain a desired torque value very precisely. Indeed, this predetermined value constitutes a threshold beyond which screwing is no longer possible, because of the displacement of the tongue. Note that this threshold value can be modified by varying different parameters, which are in particular the dimensions of the tongue, the dimensions of the indentations, as well as the nature of the material constituting the key. As is apparent from the foregoing, the invention provides an escape type torque wrench. Indeed, when the desired torque value is reached, there can be no mechanical cooperation between the key and the bolt element which it ensures the screwing.
Finally, if it is desired to remove the insert relative to the handle, it is unscrewed (see Figures 3A and 3B). For this purpose, the seats 14 and 18 form areas of loosening of the insert, while the seat 26 only provides a holding function during loosening. Once unscrewed, note that the key keeps the insert in place, without having to take it in hand. As is apparent from the foregoing, the key according to the invention overcomes the disadvantages associated with the teaching of EP-A-1 671 751. Indeed, this key has a particularly simple structure, and a price very low returns. In addition, it is accompanied by a very convenient implementation for the user. The invention is not limited to the example described and shown. Thus, the key can cooperate with a polygonal insert, different from a square, in particular of rectangular section. In this regard, as illustrated in Figure 4, the key according to the invention can cooperate with different rectangular inserts of the same width, but whose length is variable. More precisely, the insert I 'of FIG. 4 has the same width as the insert I of the preceding figures, but on the other hand a length much greater than that of this insert I. It is also possible to screw rectangular inserts. , whose body length is greater or less than that referenced in this FIG. 4. It will thus be noted that a single key according to the invention makes it possible to clamp different inserts, which also makes it possible to vary the value of the torque of Tightening. Indeed, depending on the value of the length of the insert, the lever arm is increased or decreased. As a further variant, not shown, it can be provided that the key according to the invention is provided with a polarizer. In this case, it is for example a pictogram placed on the key itself, to indicate to the user the appropriate direction of operation.
